"Pathetic weakling, you will never find a way to win, you have cried and cried all day long all night long. You're nothing..."
"HAHAHAHA! HAHAHA!"
"Chrom Lowell, he couldn't find a way to call 911 for his wife who he cared so much for... perhaps his children will die at his hand..."
"Thanks for playing my little game Lowell, it means a whole lot of what you have done."
"AHAHAHAH!!! YOU WILL NEVER DEFEAT THE NEW MAGNUS!!" Chrom looked down at the ground as his chest felt the agonizing pain of the words coming at him. Nothing was stopping them. Nothing ever will stop them from appearing over and over again.
"You should get lost."
"You think we're going to forgive you that easily!? Get lost and scram somewhere else where you won't be near my home ever again,"
"HAHAHA!"
"HA! HA! HAHA! HAH!!!" Left and right were people laughing at him. Nothing was going to change what he was hearing. Weights kept being placed on him one by one. Nothing else but weights and more weights. He fell to the ground as soon people started throwing stuff at him.
He tried getting up and soon someone kicked him down. He moved out of the way but more things were being thrown at him. More importantly more weights were being placed upon him. Chrom tried to stand tall the best he could, not let the people get to his head.
Chrom grunted, "No... I can't let these stupid sayings get the best of me!!" He fell onto the ground and felt more and more painful words. They were all true... he felt nothing more but useless. He was always picked on. There was no reason to be treated the same. He pulled his hair slightly as he heard more yells and cries come through his head.
"YOU LITTLE LIAR!! WHY DID YOU DO THIS TO ME!"
"CLAUDE! I DON'T WANT TO SPEAK WITH YOU AGAIN!" That's when Chrom stopped, those words struck out to him in some form. What was the reasoning behind them? Why did they stick out?
Chrom asked, "What... was that?" Then he heard the echoes of someone's voice.
"CHROM!!"
"CHROM DOESN'T HEAR YOU!!"
"CHROM!!!"
"SHUT IT!! I WANT TO MAKE SURE THAT MAN DIES UNDER MY HANDS! YOU SHOULDN'T INTERFERE WITH MY PLANS!!"
"CHROM!!!" Then it all made sense to Chrom. Those were the words of Byleth. He was calling out his name to gain his attention. It was working...
Chrom asked, "Byleth?! Byleth is that you?!" Chrom looked around but heard the muffled laughter of children laughing.
"LISTEN TO ME!! MAGNUS HAS CASTED YOU UNDER HIS SPELL OF DARKNESS! IT IS YOUR JOB TO FIGHT THROUGH AND SHOW THE WHOLE WORLD WHO YOU ARE!!" Chrom took a deep breath and let his energy flow out.
He remembered everything that the people close to him told him. He felt like everything was rushing back at him at the speed of light. He wasn't going to let this man take him whole. No matter what he ended up doing, there was no reason.
He remembered Emelia, "I love you, promise me... you'll be... okay..." Reminded of her smile before being reminded of her death. Chrom felt pain in his chest but he knew deep down inside that he couldn't let them down. He made a promise, he was going to fulfill that.
He remembered Claude, "Just remember, I'm going to stick by your side till the end of this fighting... spiritually since... I won't last... I love... you... so... much..." Reminded of his smile before reminded of his death. This time it didn't hurt as much but still did. Claude meant everything to him but he couldn't cry, he had to stand tall to ensure the future was protected.
Finally he remembered Emmeryn, "No reaction... Was I wrong then? Chrom... This is some torch I'm passing you. Hmph... So be it. Chrom... Lissa... know... that I loved you." Those words were the words of his family. Those he held dear to his heart. He wasn't going to let some stupid spell take him whole.
"NO!!!! NOT AGAIN NOT EVER AGAIN! NO MORE WEIGHTS! NO MORE TEARS!! THE TIME TO FIGHT IS NOW!!" He got up and everything disappeared. Then he took one long deep breath...
Suddenly Chrom woke amidst all of it and kicked Magnus directly in the stomach. He fell backward and looked back at the heroes who were all ready to fight. He jumped up and joined them as he took out his sword and glared at Magnus.
"You got through the spell? I shouldn't underestimate you as much... well let the fighting COMMENCE!!" Mangus laughed. Chrom stared at him and down to Falchion. He took a moment to reflect on what he saw in that strange world. How everyone despised him, he wasn't going to let that slide.
Chrom whispered, "For the future of our land. Not again. I won't let this madman take me whole again. Not again... Not. EVER. AGAIN!"
"You are a hilarious talker Lowell, try speaking more clearly and then we'll see how this is..." Magnus mocked. Chrom glared at him as the heroes stood there staring at him. All were standing by Chrom's side. "Not going to say anything?"
Chrom grunted, "No reason to say anything. I said what I needed to say to ensure you're going to die..." Chrom tightened his grip on his sword as the heroes did the exact same thing.
"Cute... you guys think you're going to kill me?"
"I know we will, because we're not cowards... WE WILL SUCCEED UNTIL THE VERY END!!" Chrom shouted. The heroes nodded as they all dashed after Magnus.
