Turntables For Blades ~ Chapter 118

"FINE! BE SELF-CENTERED ALL YOU WANT TO BE CHROM LOWELL!" Magnus screamed as he got ready to attack with his phantom lance once more. The heroes stared at him as Chrom grabbed his arm in pain, he saw blood coming out but he wasn't going to let that stop him.

Kirby asked, "What about Sonic?!"

"I... I don't know, can you heal him?!" Kirby nodded and dashed to Sonic to try healing him as the two dashed at one another. Slamming their blades against each other as they had rage on their faces.

Magnus shouted, "YOU LITTLE BEAST! WHY DO YOU ALWAYS REFUSE TO DIE BY MY HANDS! WHEN YOU WERE IN THAT FIRE YOU REFUSED TO DIE!" Chrom glared at him as he then swung his leg toward Magnus. Causing him to fall down in the process.

"That's because I'm ALWAYS several steps ahead of YOU..." Chrom replied while he placed the Chaos sword against Magnus' lance. The two kept pushing one another but nothing was working. Neither one of them were winning or losing.

Magnus groaned, "SO SMART EH!?" Magnus saw a weak spot and he shoved Chrom onto the ground as he fell backward. Chrom felt the pain against him as he looked up. All his other teammates were busy with things. Kirby was healing Sonic, Sonic was close to death, Alear and Byleth were both stuck in goo.

Magnus sighed, "I got all your little allies occupied so that means it's you and me. Which we already know who's going to win." Chrom kept glaring at him as he tried to get himself stabilized. He wasn't afraid to die, but he was more afraid to die not protecting Dawn from Magnus.

"NO WE WE DON'T! I KNOW FOR A FACT YOU ARE GOING TO DIE AT MY HANDS!" Chrom screamed. Magnus looked at him and smiled grimly. Then he slammed his lance against Chrom. He felt the pain in his body as Magnus stabbed the lance in his leg. Chrom yelled in pain as he collapsed onto the ground.

Magnus sighed, "You were saying Lowell? You're going to die at my hands and nobody is here to help you..." Magnus got ready to charge up a beam while Chrom got ready to shoot an arrow. Just before Magnus sent out the beam Chrom shot him in the eye.

Chrom grunted, "That's what you deserve..." Chrom got up slowly and saw blood coming out from his leg. Still he wasn't going to let that stop him either way. Magnus fell backward and felt the agonizing pain in his eye.

"MY EYE!! AAGHHH!! MY PRECIOUS EYE!!" Magnus screamed at the top of his lungs. He looked over at Chrom who was smiling. Magnus put his hand against his eye as it slowly began to heal. Chrom looked at him in shock, and felt himself getting angrier and angrier by the second.

Time appeared and whispered, "The more I watch Magnus... the more terribly suspicious I become. This man refuses to die no matter what we end up doing to him. He can heal himself instantly without any problems..."

"You make a strong point... something is up with him," Chrom whispered while agreeing with Time. He stopped healing his eye and looked back at Chrom.

Magnus mocked, "Y'know, you're pretty fucking stupid right?! YOU THINK YOU CAN KILL MY LEFT EYE WITH ONE SIMPLE ARROW YOU CAN SHOOT!?" Chrom chuckled for a bit as he put his hands together.

"I wasn't planning to kill you, I was getting ready to distract you," Chrom mocked. Magnus turned over as Alear and Byleth got out from the goo. Magnus turned back at Chrom who had a sly smile across his face.

Magnus muttered, "Oh really now?" Then he shot a beam at Chrom. Chrom barely dodged it as it pierced through a tree. "WHO'S LAUGHING NOW?!" Chrom looked at him and back at the tree. From there he noticed Sonic and Kirby a few trees back.

Kirby grunted, "What was that for?! What... is going on!?" Byleth dashed over to their aid while Chrom and Alear attacked Magnus with all their might. However, Magnus tanked all their attacks. Nothing was working.

"KIRBY, SONIC?! ARE YOU TWO OKAY!?" Byleth asked. Kirby looked at Byleth and smiled weakly as he turned toward Sonic. Sonic had died right there due to the blast. "No... Sonic..." He looked down in shock as Kirby looked at Byleth with sadness. Byleth felt stressed out about everything that was happening, but Kirby wasn't doing so well...

Kirby whispered, "I don't think I will be able to last either... I'm so sorry for everything..." Byleth shook his head and tried healing Kirby as Chrom and Alear kept on fighting. Magnus kept on blocking their attacks but Chrom managed to get one swing in. Forcing Magnus to fall down onto the ground.

Magnus mocked, "AREN'T YOU GOING TO HELP YOUR FRIEND WITH HEALING!?" Chrom looked over and saw Byleth crying while trying to heal Kirby. The two looked back and noticed Magnus was gone all of a sudden.

"NO!!!" Alear screamed as she dashed over. Chrom followed after as they put their swords away. They dashed over to the two as Alear felt herself shaking.

Chrom grunted, "I can't heal anyone, shit what else can we do?!"

"I don't know... Come on Byleth!" Alear cheered. Byleth nodded as he continued trying his hardest to heal Kirby but nothing was working. "Come on..." Byleth kept on trying but still, nothing was working...
