Dawn's Destiny

Time Itself ~ Chapter 15

"Time itself has been sprawling over the course of life. Time itself has been with you the whole time without realizing they are time itself. They're here to be a guide, bringing new abilities for them and everyone that surrounds them..."

The heroes kept looking around the library for clues but it didn't appear that they were able to find anything. Searching and searching, nothing was showing up. Was there anything to even be found? Was what they were looking for not exist?

"Time..." Byleth thought. Then he started to go down the hallways upstairs, trying to find the "T" section of the books. Then he noticed something that was out of place. "What... is this book doing here? Shouldn't this go into the A section of the library?" The heroes looked over and saw Byleth take out the book from the spot it was in.

All a sudden a beaming light came out and revealed a book. A book filled with gems, it was shining, it was a light of hope. Hope was finally showing itself and this was their chance.

"What the hell happened?!" Albedo asked. Byleth stood there staring at the book and invited everyone to the place he was. They all came over and saw the shining book. It seemed like it was bright enough that you didn't need a flashlight to see.

Zhongli pointed out, "These books definitely were written by gods. Especially since this is in a specific place and hidden. But why within the main city?"

"Probably since the main city is associated with Dawn and it's also called Dawn City," Shez explained. The heroes nodded in agreement while Byleth took a deep breath. He looked at the book and looked at everyone else.

Byleth questioned, "Are we prepared to open the book?" The heroes nodded and looked at the book together. Byleth opened up and it immediately turned toward a page. They looked at one another; however, it appeared to be blank.

"Why... is this page blank?" Agent 4 questioned. The heroes looked at one another while Chrom looked at the book. He was just staring at it without replying to anything. "Chrom, are you alright?" Chrom pushed the group away and looked at the book.

Chrom looked at the book and read out loud, "The future that is coming is possessed in your hands... this world is inside your hands. The gods have chosen you as the guidance of the future." However, on the heroes' side, nothing was coming out of his mouth. He was reading but no sound came out.

"What is he reading?! Is he the only one that can see what is being written on there?" Kirby questioned. The heroes continued watching Chrom. Not a sound came out of his mouth.

Chrom continued, "Time itself is forever everlasting. Time could never be found but if you want a full answer. You are time, you're the only one who can see this all. You have the power to change the future and the present. Follow through the voice you have all the power to see your world. Guide them, bring everyone to a brighter future..."

"What did it say?" Byleth asked Chrom. Chrom looked over and looked back at the book.

Chrom muttered, "I didn't read anything, I thought I saw words but it's part of my pure imagination..." He walked away from the heroes and the heroes stood there in confusion. He went into the restroom and looked at himself in a mirror.

"Time itself... is in my hands?" Then he realized water droplets on the ground. He looked up and realized there was a figure behind him. He looked over and it appeared to be someone he was completely unfamiliar with.

"W-WHO THE HELL ARE YOU?!" Chrom asked. He looked at them and they smiled at him.

The person explained, "I am Time itself. You may call me Ashyohia. I am here to help assist you through your entire journey of life and time everlasting. You are also time itself as I have granted you the ability to see through the future." Chrom stood there staring at them and then back down at himself.

"I'm Time itself?! You must be mistaken! I haven't proven myself worthy of this title!" Chrom yelled in fear. Ashyohia stared at him and smiled. Then they gave him a small embrace, all of a sudden it felt like Chrom's worries seemed to have vanished without a trace.

Ashyohia explained, "I'm here to show you a world filled with glory and thoughts. This world is falling apart and you're going to be the one to save the world. You have the power to change the future. I will be here to guide you along the way. But first... let's take a journey back in time together."

"No, before we do this please explain more about yourself, you mentioned that you are time itself. Just exactly, are you?" Chrom interrogated. He was of course curious but he couldn't figure what made them so... mysterious. Ashyohia looked at him and smiled.

Ashyohia explained, "As I mentioned I am Ashyohia. I am known as time itself. So if you wish to refer to me in an easier way, refer to me as Time. Otherwise, I have a purpose, to select someone to take down the Upton family liege. As they have been responsible for all the tragic events in Dawn.

Many years ago I granted this power to your ancestor. He did his best to achieve the ultimate dream of succeeding but Upton stopped him and killed him right there. Soon Dawn descended into madness until I showed myself to end Upton. Of course his family liege continues as he hasn't been stopped ultimately." Chrom looked at Ashyohia and back at himself.

Chrom asked, "Marth was granted with this ability but failed?" Ashyohia nodded. Chrom then looked down at himself and back Ashyohia. "Okay, I think I understand what you're asking of me, I'm still not a hundred percent sure, but I'll trust your judgment."

Ashyohia explained, "Before we travel to the past to view the incident. I must tell you that you're responsible for guiding all the heroes toward a goal of life and history. You're going to make a change Chrom. Therefore, you must not tell anyone you are time itself. Otherwise the family liege will know of you and do everything in their power to kill you. I couldn't guide Marth correctly which is why this is important." Chrom nodded in agreement. "Good, let's head forward into the past."

Chrom replied, "Understood, let's hurry ourselves up." Then Ashyohia grabbed Chrom and teleported him into the past.
