The snow had just finished, and it was already bright and sunny. Meanwhile, Byleth was sliding down the mountain. He was having the time of his life, enjoying the beautiful mountain view. Several of the other heroes were talking with one another at the top of the mountain. However, Byleth couldn't resist waiting. Skiing left and right while enjoying the fresh snow.

Byleth sighed, "I honestly wish we could ski more often. It's always such a blast to go down these... it also brings a strange yet relaxing feeling..." Byleth looked around and noticed he was about to hit a tree. He attempted to turn himself to the right but... was too late.

Byleth slowly woke and noticed it was already pitch dark outside. There was nobody left on the mountain and he was buried under some snow. Luckily he was alive. However, there was no service on his phone.

"Jesus... Where did I hit?" Byleth grunted while slowly getting up. It was dark and cold, there wasn't any light visible. Byleth grabbed his ski poles and proceeded to move around to see if he could find any visible light. Searching around the area didn't allow him to see much but it was still calmining.

Byleth looked around the area to see if there was a telephone box anywhere so he could call Mario and ask for assistance. So he proceeded to begin skiing down the mountain again. Turns and more turns, he was doing his best to avoid any possible trees on the way back down. He kept on going and then soon there was this strange rumbling noise.

As Byleth looked behind him he noticed the noise got louder and louder. Noticing that there was some figure at the top of the mountain. But it was so pitch dark Byleth couldn't tell what it was. He looked back down toward the road back down the mountain.

The creature muttered, "Come back to me Byleth... I can take you back home where you friends are happily getting warmed up..." The raspy voice was enough to make Byleth ignore the creature. He proceeded to continue skiing down the mountain and trying to avoid remembering the creature. However it appeared... strangely familiar in some sense. Suddenly he noticed a light coming behind him.

Byleth asked, "Are you... one of the park workers?" He stopped himself but the light and the figure kept going. Byleth panicked and followed after them since they were the only ones with light. He continued to follow them when he noticed the odd aura around the figure.

They continued skiing down the mountain when Byleth noticed they were reaching the bottom of the mountain. That way Byleth could take a bus back home and tell everyone that they had forgotten about him. Perhaps they didn't and attempted to find him but there was no luck as he was passed out. Soon right when he stopped thinking about the possibilities, he made it to the bottom.

"Hey, I want to say thank you for illuminating the path, it helped me get back to the ground safely and now I can head home. I don't know who you are but I just wanted to give you my thanks," Byleth said with a slight smile. The figure slowly nodded and Byleth put on his snow boots. He proceeded to walk toward the nearest bus stop when he realized the figure mysteriously vanished.

Byleth muttered under his breath, "Freaky... I don't know what happened but... I hope they're doing well." That's when a bus came by and Byleth walked in. It was strangely empty and it was just the bus driver.

"Finally, a passenger! Where are you heading?"

"Hero Town, please," The bus driver nodded and they proceeded to make their way to the town. Byleth looked at the nighttime setting. It was strangely daunting and pretty at the same time. However, he couldn't help but feel anxious. Who was the person that was skiing alongside him, illuminating the way?

Byleth sighed, "Today has been a rough day, my teammates ended up forgetting about me after I passed out on the mountain by hitting the tree."

"You're the person?" Byleth looked over and nodded slowly. He looked down at his equipment and took off his ski mask. He took a deep breath and looked around the bus. It was empty, like there was zero life to be spotted. It made Byleth feel queasy but at least he was somewhere safe.

"Oh I see... well don't worry we can take you back home no problem..." The person muttered. Byleth looked over with confusion and noticed the bus driver stopped driving. They turned over and it appeared to Byleth with goo covering his entire body. Byleth freaked out and moved toward the back of the bus.

Byleth questioned, "W-Who the hell are you!? What do you want from me!?" The person got up from the driver's seat and showed their entire body. Their eyes were white, there were black and white markings on their face, and most importantly... They were oozing with black goo. "STAY BACK IMMEDIATELY!" Byleth took out the sword of the creator while the person stood there.

The person introduced themselves by stating, "I am you... this is your future self..." They smirked at Byleth and then looked down at his hand. "This is your Draglon appearance, aren't you surprised?"

Byleth questioned, "D-Draglon!?"

"Yes Draglon, you're related to him..." Byleth fell backward and Draglon Byleth walked closer and closer to him. "How pathetic must you be, I never once was the bus driver, in fact I'm nothing more than a shell of your future self."

Byleth questioned, "Future self!? What are you talking about?! I know for a fact that I'm going to never become who you are! You're a demon from the depths of hell!" Draglon Byleth looked at Byleth and smiled grimly. He threw goo and that forced Byleth to be trapped on the ground.

Draglon Byleth mocked Byleth by saying, "You're so pathetic and worthless. Everything you even attempt to do tumbles down within a second. Doesn't this sound familiar..." Byleth stared at Draglon Byleth trying to break free from the goo.

"I WILL NEVER SUCCUMB TO YOU! YOU'RE NOTHING!"

"YOU'RE NOTHING AS WELL! YOU WILL SUCCUMB TO ME! I KNOW YOU WILL!" Byleth broke free from the goo and threw an attack at Draglon Byleth. He fell backward and noticed his arm was releasing black goo.

Byleth muttered, "You're a creature... you don't even spill blood when you're injured. That's how I know you will never take me whole..." Draglon Byleth looked at Byleth and then back at his arm.

Draglon Byleth grunted, "So what if I'm a creature? I am going to take your whole body no matter how hard you try... Apollyon attempted to take over Chrom's but failed. But I cannot lose to you..."

"Chrom was a victim of this? I should've known..." Byleth looked at his sword and back at Draglon Byleth. He launched a long rage attack and threw Draglon Byleth at the wind. The window shattered into pieces as Draglon Byleth fell onto the ground. Goo was being released all over the place.

Draglon Byleth laughed, "I do enjoy your persistence... I know for a fact that it will not do you the best. However, I pray that you succumb to me in some form... until another dawn..." Then the creature vanished from sight. Byleth fell onto the ground and took a few deep breaths to calm himself.

Byleth muttered, "I just need to head home... I just need to... head home..." Byleth looked down at his hands and noticed how dizzy he was. He felt like he was in some type of strange dream. It was becoming so bad he felt like he was going to collapse at any point. Eventually he noticed goo was appearing on his body.

"W-What is going on!? No! NO!!!!" Byleth screamed. He fell onto the ground which ended up covering his body in goo... which would be the end case as he had woken up from the dream. Searching around in his room he noticed that everything was in place and was alright.

Byleth muttered, "What was that awful dream... It felt like I had no control of what was happening. It felt like it was all orchestrated... in some form..." Byleth took one last look out the window and saw the gentle snow. That put him at ease and he slowly drifted off back to sleep.
