"GET IN HERE NOW!!!" Magnus screamed. From the darkness two people showed their faces. It was revealed to be Marth and Ephraim both of them despair induced. "Thank the goddess you're here. It took you long enough." They all stood there staring at one another as Marth chuckled, but Magnus slammed his hand on the desk to get them under control.

Marth cleared his throat and replied, "Apologies for the wait, I was getting sidetracked with all my duties." He bowed down as Magnus sat there staring at the two. Slowly rolling his eyes in disgust.

"Whatever Marth, you do what you like, I don't care. I'm just happy you two finally showed up," Magnus replied as he flipped through the documents he had. Marth watched as Magnus went through each of his documents.

Ephraim questioned, "Isn't this man a descendant of Upton? Why are we helping him?" Marth looked at him and told him to hush. Magnus looked up at them as they stood there in silence. Then he went back to looking through the documents. Marth and Ephraim turned around to avoid Magnus hearing them more clearly.

"I much prefer if the heroes get crushed, even if it requires me to be on the same side as this... creature," Marth replied while whispering. Ephraim nodded as the two turned back around to watch Magnus. Then he pulled out a specific document and showed it to the two.

Magnus explained, "I have information on the little Exalt here. He just recently lost his husband and undoubtedly is going to hate me for this. Don't fret over it though. Your goal is that you return back to Vivin City and eliminate him. I don't want you coming back saying you didn't kill him. I'll let you stay if you kill him, or murder more members of the team. Either one works."

"Most interesting requests, we will do as you tell us. Don't you worry about a thing, I will make sure I make you proud of us..." Marth replied with a smile. Magnus stared at him and smiled in return. Marth turned around before Ephraim tapped his shoulder. He looked over for a moment as Magnus stood up from his seat.

Magnus sighed, "It's so nice to have people who aren't mindless machines that will only focus on killing each other." He was about to turn around from his desk but he noticed Marth holding falchion near his mouth. "Why are you holding the sword directly toward your mouth?"

"Tasting the blood of my enemies. Trust me, I've eliminated far too many innocent people back in Dawn City. I will simply do all I can to make you proud of me, after all I don't think the heroes will stand a chance against me," Marth laughed as he put the sword away. Magnus looked at him and smirked as well.

Ephraim laughed, "I appreciate that about you, you never fail to be interesting. You're always willing to do all it takes to destroy those who are in your way."

"Yes of course, it's what the gods advise me to do... those dwellers want me to do the best for me, that is destroying EVERYONE in my path," Marth replied. Ephraim nodded as the two turned back to Magnus. Magnus looked down at his documents and then took a deep breath.

Magnus sighed, "You guys look like you mean business, it does not surprise me. I'm very pleased to hear you guys will be doing everything in your power to assist me in destroying the heroes. I won't stop... especially since I want to kill the Exalt. I know he's hiding something."

"King Chrom is hiding something? Truthfully he is a mysterious person when you view him deeper than his Exalt role... still," Ephraim questioned.

Marth explained, "Chrom is an interesting man, he's not very open about his private issues but nobody really is. The difference between him and everyone else is the strange attitudes he has toward things. Perhaps his reaction to seeing guts compared to others. The way he handles death is unlike others."

"What?"

"Based on my observations of him, the Exalt is different from his team members. When someone mentions something that could be potentially triggering, he bottles up. Similarly, if he hears or sees something that is triggering to others, he doesn't react normally..."

Magnus asked, "How do you know this information about him!? I fought the heroes many times but not once did Chrom show these signs?!"

"Simple, you don't observe him enough... well that and also he's a descendant of mine. I suspect he has some of my traits with him," Marth explained while smiling. Magnus was writing down all the details Marth had put and was in awe.

Magnus giggled, "I'm so grateful that the two of us met. There's no words describing how I feel after we met..." Marth smiled back and then turned away. "Go ahead and deal with the heroes. More importantly... take these headpieces." Ephraim grabbed them as the two walked out.

Ephraim muttered, "Magnus is worse than what he appears to be-" Marth shoved him away for a slight moment as Ephraim tried to catch his breath. "What the hell was that for?!" Marth didn't reply as he kept on walking with joy in his stance.

Marth explained, "Well, I did that for a reason! The worse he is the merrier! Now let's go find those pesky heroes..." Ephraim looked at him with slight worry as Marth placed the headpiece and dashed off. Ephraim put his on and followed after Marth.
