The Beginning of Tragic ~ Chapter 9

The group watched in fear and horror as the citizens started to spread the fire more. There were citizens in a state of panic and others were in a state of insanity. The heroes all tried to understand what was going on but it felt nothing was making sense in the slightest. Why were the citizens remotely fighting!?

"BY THE WORLD, WHAT IS HAPPENING!?" Ruby asked. He looked around and noticed there was a strange dark aura around the infected citizens. Then one of the citizens dashed over.

The citizen cried, "PLEASE EMPEROR RUBY AND JADE, THE HEROES, ANYONE! HELP US!!"

"What's going on?!"

"THE ENTIRE CITY IS IN A STATE PANIC AND DIA-" Right before the citizen finished they were attacked by an infected person. The group entirely moved backward in absolute horror. Some of the heroes felt themselves getting sick while others felt disgusted by everything that was happening. Tails looked around before being reminded of an old event that happened years ago.

Tails asked, "This... appears eerily familiar to the tragedy that happened in the earth section of Dawn..." The heroes looked at him in confusion as Hajime gasped, realizing just exactly what Tails was referring to.

"'The Biggest Most Tragic Event in Human History?!'" Hajime questioned. Tails slowly nodded and they continued to watch the entire city catch within the disaster.

Jade asked, "Can you guys please... please... spread awareness to the town. Come back immediately... I'm afraid this will get worse." The heroes nodded and dashed to the bus.

"It seems like they left the bus alone; however, IT WILL NOT LAST LONG!" Starlow explained. They all got on and Mario stepped on the gas. There were citizens killing each other, causing mayhem, or others trying to escape.

Yae Miko muttered, "This is making me sick to the stomach... how did this just suddenly appear out of nowhere?" The heroes nodded, they believed that Marth and Ephraim did it but was that true? Were they back to causing trouble again?

"Do you guys... think Marth and Ephraim did it?" Ayato questioned. The heroes looked at Ayato with worry. "Think about it, they did the system reboot, this isn't too far fetched for them to do." Byleth then shook his head, disagreeing with Ayato's claim.

Byleth replied, "It's possible but I extremely doubt it, they probably gave up after failing the system reboot and are trying to do some old fashioned bad guy stuff..." Then they stopped the bus and saw the entire ruckus spreading around Dawn.

"What... is going on?!" Sonic asked. Soon people started attacking the bus, Mario had to step on the gas again to push the people away.

Chrom replied, "I think you murdered some people-"

"THAT DOESN'T MATTER IN SITUATION!" The heroes nodded while Hajime was watching the situation unfold on the news.

"There has been NOTHING BUT DISASTER! STAY INSIDE! DO NOT EXIT YOUR HOMES WHATEVER YOU DO! I BEG OF YOU! PLEASE- AHHHHHH!!" Hajime watched in horror as the reporter was murdered by one of the crew members.

Eula explained, "It's getting worse-" Then Mario crashed the bus. "GAHH!! WHAT THE HELL?!" The heroes felt all disoriented after the bus crashed. Some of the heroes felt blood against them but they knew it wasn't safe.

"HANG ON!" Someone shouted. Then Marianne grabbed everyone out of the bus one by one. Then she healed them slowly as each of the heroes looked at Mario in slight anger. Mario brushed himself off and shook his head.

Mario described, "I didn't mean to crash the bus! There were people everywhere!" The heroes looked over to the town and it was in a disaster. "And... we were too late." The town was in flames, disaster, nothing but flames.

"No..." Kazuha gasped. Then the heroes all panicked. The townspeople were being killed left and right. They were terrified of what was happening. Suddenly Chrom had a sickening feeling inside him.

Chrom asked, "What about the people... we love?" The heroes looked over to him and appeared to be frantically looking for Lissa on his contacts list. The rest of the heroes felt slightly worried but Chrom was beyond worried for his own family's well being.

Albedo reassured Chrom by saying, "There's no way they were going out especially since she has your children-"

"ALBEDO THIS IS SERIOUS! LISSA PLEASE PICK UP THE PHONE!" Chrom screamed. He looked at his phone and realized someone else was calling. He picked up the phone and the heroes looked around, they shoved themselves into an abandoned building.

Kirby asked with fear, "Are we ever going to fix this mess up?!" The heroes looked at one another while they watched Chrom take the phone call.

"I don't know but we have to do something to stop it and as soon as possible," Mario thought. Marianne watched everyone take care of one another slowly.

Marianne asked, "Is it alright if I tag along with you? I'm sure I won't be much help but I'm going to do my best in the long run." The heroes looked at Marianne and then turned to Mario.

"A healer is always welcomed! Do not worry yourself over it too much!" Marianne looked at Mario and smiled. However, Chrom's face of nervousness turned into pure horror. His entire body went white with fear.

Sonic asked, "Chrom!? Are you alright?!" Chrom dropped his phone onto the ground and covered his mouth. "Oh my god..."

"Chrom!?" Byleth asked, walking toward him. He put his hand on Chrom's shoulder as Chrom looked down at himself in disbelief and shock. "Did something happen!? Tell us!"

Chrom muttered, "I... I..."

"CHROM?!" Byleth asked. Chrom stood there in shock still then he took a deep breath.
