Attempted Assault On The Heroes ~ Chapter 129

"Okay... now what are we going to do?" Chrom questioned as he looked around the area. The heroes stopped and searched the area. But Chrom noticed a figure dashing by. Then they showed themselves to be none other than Magnus.

Magnus laughed, "Did you heroes miss me? I missed messing around with you all!" He smiled at them wickedly as Chrom got himself ready to attack again. Alear and Byleth took out their weapons as well as Elfilin hid behind Alear's back.

"Go away..." Chrom groaned as he took out his bow and arrow. Magnus smiled as he got ready to shoot Chrom.

Magnus threatened, "If you dare shoot that arrow I will kill you with this bullet..."

"THIS BULLET?!"

"OF COURSE I WILL! I WILL MAKE SURE YOU DIE AND NOTHING GOOD COMES FROM YOU! YOU DESERVE THE ABSOLUTE WORSE AND NOTHING HAPPY! YOU'RE A DISGRACE AND DESERVE THE WORST!" Magnus screamed as he stared at Chrom. Chrom lowered his bow and arrow and glared at Magnus.

Chrom sighed, "That's what you're going to think of me, huh? That's the only thing that you have in your mind, that's what you believe in me right?" Chrom kept his bow pointed at Magnus, he was getting angrier and angrier by the second. However, he couldn't let that take him whole. At least he didn't want it to take him whole...

"That's what I will forever believe of you, you're a mistake to humanity and deserve to die like Erica says you should," Magnus muttered under his breath.

Alear shouted, "ERICA DOESN'T EVEN WANT TO PROTECT US! SHE IS LITERALLY ONE OF THE WORST GODS WE'VE HAD IN MY LIFETIME!"

"One of them?! She's the best god we have because she knows what to do unlike Michael..." Magnus mocked. The heroes glared at him and then dashed in for an attack. However, within a flash Magnus shot down Elfilin. Alear looked back as Byleth dashed over and shoved Alear out of the way.

Byleth shouted, "ELFILIN!!" He got to the ground and healed his ear. The heroes kept on fighting Magnus until they stabbed both of his legs.

"AHAHAH! AHAHA!! I LOVE THAT PAIN SO MUCH! DO IT AGAIN! AGAIN!!!" Magnus laughed hysterically. Alear and Chrom nodded and turned away from Magnus as he looked at them. "You're not going to hurt me?!"

Chrom asked, "Why do I want to hurt someone who's obsessed with getting injured constantly!?" Magnus glared at Chrom as he shot a beam at him. Alear and Chrom barely dodged as Byleth kept on healing Elfilin's ear. They kept tight on their weapons as Chrom glared down toward Magnus, Alear joined him as well.

Alear muttered, "You attempted to even hurt poor Elfilin when he did nothing wrong. You really want to see all of us dead right?" Magnus chuckled as he slowly got up from the ground.

"Damn right you are, I just hate seeing you all the time. I want to make sure I get something good out of this..." Magnus giggled. Alear and Chrom then slammed their swords against Magnus. He fell backward and slammed against a tree. He was bleeding everywhere but enjoyed it all.

Chrom grunted, "You are a disgrace and forever will be one..." Magnus looked at Chrom and smiled. Then he shot Byleth in the shoulder. He fell backward and was struggling to heal both Elfilin and him.

"I'm always multiple steps ahead of you, you don't compare to what I am able to do..." Magnus mocked. Chrom looked at him with rage and attempted to attack him but he vanished from the scene. Chrom stabbed his sword into the tree and took it out. Alear dug through Byleth's bag for any medical gear but there was nothing.

Byleth grunted, "I can heal myself but the problem is Elfilin... he got so injured it's hard to tell what is going to happen." Chrom looked through his bag, found scissors and cut a piece of his cape off. "Chrom?" Chrom then wrapped that piece of cape around Elfilin's ear to help stop the bleeding.

Chrom sighed, "That should do it. It works like a bandage since we really don't have that many medical supplies." Chrom smiled as the two looked at him and smiled as well. Chrom did a sigh of relief as he searched the area to make sure the coast was clear.

"You're right, thanks for helping," Byleth said with a sigh of relief. Chrom nodded as the two hugged with one another. The two looked down toward Elfilin as Alear picked him up. However, Eliflin was able to safely get off from Alear's hands without too many issues.

Elfilin asked, "What is going to happen now?!" The three thought about the situation they were in for a moment. They loved Elfilin but it was far too dangerous for him. There had to be something... but the only option was...

"You have to run," Chrom mumbled. Elfilin's eyes widened in shock as the two nodded in agreement.

"HUH?!"

"You have to RUN!" Chrom ordered. He felt himself getting furious with Elfilin but he knew this was going to be for the best. Elfilin was another team member and it was better if there was at least one survivor in case all three of them didn't escape. "You promised me to never leave me, but I mean that in death."

Elfilin muttered, "But..."
