Triple Minded Selves ~ Chapter 78

"You three won't stand a chance against us so I suggest you guys give up already!" Magnus mocked. The three glared at them and then dashed in for an attack. Chrom did all his power to focus on Magnus as the other two focused on Ephraim and Marth. They were able to deal some attacks toward them but Ephraim and Marth were able to dodge the attacks done by Alear and Byleth.

Their blades clashed against each other as the blood red sky pierced throughout all of Dawn. It was a scene to behold. There were only these three willing to give it their all. Magnus tried to fight back against Chrom but nothing worked. Chrom slammed his blade against Magnus which caused him to fall down.

"You got strong Lowell, but that won't change my ideals to find a way to KILL YOU!" The two started to clash their swords against each other. Magnus got up and was able to swing his sword toward Chrom. However, Chrom was quick enough to block the attack. The other two did all they could to defend themselves.

Byleth shouted, "TAKE THIS!!" He managed to make Marth lose the grip of his sword and fall onto the ground. Marth glared up at him as Byleth smirked. Marth glared at Byleth as he looked around his surroundings to see what he could use. There wasn't much but he was still pissed with Byleth either way.

"I'll find a way to destroy you... I can 100% guarantee that..." Marth mocked as he slowly got up. Alear ran towards him and hit him from behind. Causing him to collapse onto the ground. He got up and looked over at Ephraim who was struggling to stay in control. Byleth was continuing to swing his sword at Byleth as Alear dashed over to assist him.

"TAKE THIS!!" The two shouted as they shoved Ephraim onto the ground. Chrom kept on fighting Magnus with all the force he had but nothing was working. Just like that he was able to hit him hard enough to have him fall onto the ground.

Magnus grunted, "Heh, you're an interesting person Lowell. No matter, I know what to do..." He took out a spellbook and proceeded to shoot out a spell. He moved out of the way as well as the others. Marth and Ephraim got up from the ground and grabbed their weapons.

Alear asked, "What are we going to do?! They keep getting up and we're unable to do anything to deal with them!?" The group looked at each other and then back at Marth and Ephraim.

"No matter what you do, you cannot find a way to defeat us... I know for a fact that you don't have the ability to, you guys are nothing more than mere weak heroes that can't even bother to make up with their friends. How pathetic is that?!" The heroes glared at him as they tightened their grip on their weapons.

Marth sighed, "Just leave it to Magnus to defeat you all..."

"I won't let Magnus stand a chance against us, not after what he had done to Claude. I swear on my life that I will get the revenge I deserve and make sure Claude rests in peace! I cannot let this insane man win!" Chrom shouted. The others nodded alongside him as Magnus grinned evilly at him.

Magnus mocked, "Your little boyfriend got what he deserved, there's no reason to be so pissed off at me. I know exactly how you feel and I will make sure you die..." Chrom stood there in disbelief as he held on his sword tightly.

"That belongs to me... I know what to do and I will make sure that you DIE!!" Chrom screamed. Then he dashed at Magnus as he charged up a spell. Moving Marth and Ephraim out of the way with one fell swoop.

Byleth and Alear chased after him as they also moved Marth and Ephraim out of the way. All three of them were going to find a way to kill Magnus once and for all. But within a flash of lightning Magnus casted the spell against them.

Chrom shouted, "WHAT THE-" Then it struck them right there. Magnus landed on the ground as he spun his hand around to seal the spell on them.

"AHHH!!!" They screamed. Soon they vanished from the scene...

Magnus laughed, "It worked... it... WORKED!!! AHAHAHAH!!! I WIN!!! ONCE AND FOR ALL!!! THEN I GET TO MURDER THE REST OF THEIR MEMBERS AND DAWN FALLS UNDER MY REIGN!!! AHAHAH!!" He looked at his hand and blew it as if it was on fire. He shook it for a moment as he turned to face the two. Marth was clapping as Ephraim was standing there; not sure how to react about the situation.

"Fantastic Magnus, we will follow you wherever you go... you can count on us," Magnus looked at them for a moment and then walked off. Marth glared at him while following after. "No praise? I thought I deserved some..." Magnus looked back at him in some anger but he calmed himself down.

Magnus laughed, "Yes you and Ephraim deserve some praise, now hurry up you two. You've done a splendid job." The two dashed on ahead as Magnus took one last look at the spot the heroes were. "Weaklings..."

Ephraim muttered, "Magnus is really getting on my nerves..."

"Oh hush up, he's doing just fine and you're just complaining too much," Marth giggled. Ephraim looked away for a moment and slowly shook his head.
