Boom, Burst, Explode ~ Chapter 14

"Alright we need to be cautious about the surrounding area especially since there's tons of people affected. Link explained that they're in the library and sent us the directions," Sonic explained.

Marianne asked, "What about Kazuha? He's still very injured and can't go..."

"We can bring him but mind you we have to be careful, can you use the hoverboard again, Marianne?" Sonic suggested. Marianne nodded and she went to grab Kazuha.

Shez sighed, "I think Link stated to be careful since Chrom got semi-affected..."

"But it's dangerous!? He could-"

"Calm yourself Sonic, just because he's semi-affected doesn't mean he is going to kill us. Link is keeping tabs on him and just sending this as a warning to us. He also explicitly explained that they were attacked out of nowhere, so this was purely due to a surprise attack," Shez explained.

Kirby sighed, "Well, that's good to know. I just pray Chrom doesn't worsen overtime." The heroes nodded and got on their motorcycles.

"Heroes, we pray for your safety, if you need assistance just call for us and we'll do the best we can," Jade sighed. The heroes nodded. Ruby opened the portal and the heroes drove out of the portal. They noticed the city was in utter chaos. Worse than ever before, they had to get to the library fast.

Marianne muttered, "I pray that the goddess protects us..." The heroes then started to zoom through the crowds. Avoiding everyone at all costs.

"There's debris everywhere, people murdering each other..." Kazuha grunted. He looked around the area and then the heroes stopped in horror. People were in front of them but they were... doing horrendous things to each other.

Eula gasped, "These people were once innocent... but now they're murdering each other..." Sonic looked around for a loophole but there appeared to be nothing. "GAH!! THEY'RE CANNIBALS!"

Byleth shouted, "TURN WEST, THEN NORTH, THEN EAST! THERE WE SHOULD ARRIVE TO THE LIBRARY! LET'S JUST HURRY!!!" The heroes drove west into an alleyway trying to avoid everyone at all costs.

Hajime muttered, "I feel like I'm going to get sick soon, there's just... too much to even understand." The heroes then took a sharp turn toward North and kept on driving. There didn't appear to be many crowds but there were corpses everywhere.

Mario muttered, "We are truly living through a dark time..." Byleth searched around the area for anything but there didn't seem to be much. Soon they took a sharp turn toward east and kept on driving.

"Seems like the library should be straight ahead... we're almost there..." Albedo analyzed. Then the heroes were interrupted. Just as they got to the library there were people fighting directly in front of the door.

Ayato groaned, "Of course there's people in the way. How are we going to get in?" Byleth looked over at the crowd and started thinking about what they could do.

Byleth suggested, "Hang on I'm going to use my sword to get them away."

"By the gods and goddesses please be careful!" Marianne cried. Byleth nodded and stood up from his seat. Agent 4 jumped down and Byleth took a deep breath. He extended his sword to get a few people out the way.

Byleth shouted, "NOW GO!!" The heroes moved their way through and got the door open. Link and Chrom were still searching for the book when they noticed the door was opening. Byleth moved the people out of the way and brought the motorcycle into the building. Together they all shut the doors and blocked the door from opening.

Link asked, "Is that everyone?" The heroes looked over as Link continued everyone and then he nodded. "Good good, as you know there's more than just a simple cure to this. We're heroes and we should prevent future generations from dealing with what we're dealing with right now."

Chrom explained, "So the book mentioned that-" All of a sudden there was a loud rumbling noise. The heroes looked outside and noticed a rocket hit a building in the far, far north. Flames were worse than ever before, smoke was forming.

"Oh... my fucking god..." They gasped. The whole area that was hit by the rocket was in flames.

Marianne shouted, "AHHH! THIS CAN'T BE HAPPENING!!" The heroes then pulled the curtains down to prevent people from looking inside. Some of them were trembling and others were left distraught.

Mario sighed, "It's... too late. We can't save them now, so let's focus on finding the book."

"That's the only thing we can really focus on... it's been pure chaos ever since then..." Chrom said while agreeing with Mario. Marianne calmed herself and went back to taking care of Kazuha. The rest of the heroes worked together to find the book about time itself.
