"One, two, three, four I declare a thumb war!" Then Lucina and Chrom began to thumb wrestle with one another. Chrom pretend to do his all but then let Lucina win.

Chrom laughed, "You're becoming pretty strong Lucina, be proud of yourself for once and think about your progress! Soon you're going to be taught sword art by my hand."

"I can't wait to learn daddy! I'm going to learn so much from you because you know how to fight really well! You're such a hero to me!" Lucina cheered as she hugged Chrom tight. Chrom hugged her back tight as she looked past his shoulder. Reminiscing about everything that's happened, at least he was with Lucina, that's all that mattered to him.

Chrom sighed, "I wanted to spend some time with you because well. I don't know what else is going to happen in the future." Lucina nodded as Chrom put her on her back. "Let's go for a joy run, alright?" Lucina nodded eagerly as she held tight on Chrom's shoulders.

Lucina laughed, "I love going for runs! They make me feel like I'm flying!" Chrom smiled up at her as he looked down the long dirt path down the road. "That's so perfect! Yes! Yes!"

"Ready to run it down together?"

"Of course! I'm more than ready daddy!" Chrom nodded as he looked at the path ahead. He got his position ready as Lucina held tight to Chrom.

"One, two, THREE!" Then the two dashed down the dirt path. Chrom felt the wind on him as Lucina loudly cheered. She was so excited to see so much nature. While the entire area appeared dead she was still excited about it all. It was like within the wilderness behind their home.

That's where they always ran. Chrom helped Lucina overcome her fear of the woods as they ran through them. Chrom made sure to be careful of his surroundings when running with Lucina. It reminded him of the memories he had when Lucina was three. She's eight now and she's turned into a much more responsible child. Which made Chrom feel old himself.

"Ready Lucina? I'm going to help you get over your fear of the forest!"

"D-Daddy... the forst is super swary!" Lucina cried as she held onto Chrom's shoulders. He looked into the forest as Emelia held Morgan in her hands, watching Chrom hold Lucina.

Chrom comforted Lucina saying, "I promise to not get you hurt, you love going for the runs so I don't want to take that away from you." Lucina looked down at Chrom and back at the forest. She slowly nodded and grabbed on his shoulders tight.

"I belive in you dady..." Lucina whimpered. Chrom smiled as he got ready. Then they dashed in the forest. Lucina closed her eyes, unwilling to open them up. "D-daddy?"

Chrom laughed, "Lucina, open your eyes! Isn't the forest beautiful?" Lucina slowly opened her eyes and saw the huge forest that surrounded them. It was so big it scared her. However, it was absolutely stunning. There were no words to describe it. "How do you feel honey?"

"I FEEL AWEOME! I LOVE THIS PLAE SO MUCH DADY!!" Lucina cheered. Chrom smiled joyfully at her as they continued dashing through the forest. Chrom was careful with Lucina as he ran. The two had the time of their lives.

Chrom stopped running and looked at the trail ahead of them. Chrom took a moment to breathe as Lucina tapped his head. Chrom looked at her as Lucina continued looking around. She watched over too as the two smiled at one another.

"I like spending time with you daddy, it's super fun!" Lucina laughed. Chrom smiled back at her lightly and looked at the ground. "Come on! Come on! Again, again!" Chrom looked up at her and then nodded.

Chrom laughed, "Alright, we'll do it again under one condition. Just hang on tight!" Lucina nodded as she gripped her father's shoulders. Then the two took off again. Chrom felt like he was young again, that he was the same person back when Emelia was alive. He missed that side of himself, a lot.

Spending time with his children made him realize how much he loved them all. They all meant something special to him. They were fragments of his memories, they were all parts of his life. Chrom grew old already due to having children at a rather young age but did that matter? He was free, he was running wild.

"WEEE!!!"

"LET'S KEEP GOING LUCINA!! I BELIEVE IN YOU!!" Chrom laughed. The two continued running down the path as the two laughed and bonded with one another effortlessly. They were just so happy. Nothing will change this moment.

A moment to cherish forever, a good happy memory. Chrom and Lucina made it to the end and saw yet another trail directly in front of them.

"Whoo! That was so fun!" Lucina cheered. Chrom felt himself looking down the trail for a moment. Before flashes of blood went through his head. He froze there in silence as Lucina kept on tapping him. "Daddy?"

Chrom stammered, "Y-Yes?" Lucina looked at him in sadness as Chrom took a deep breath. "Sorry... I was reminded of something..." Chrom looked down at himself as he shook his head.

Lucina asked, "You don't look okay..." Chrom stood there in silence as Lucina kept looking down at him. Chrom felt himself shaking a little. "Come on daddy!" Chrom stopped and slowly nodded.

Chrom asked, "Again?" Lucina nodded as Chrom felt joyful again. Then he dashed down the trail again as Lucina kept on cheering. Happiness filled the area, Chrom was no longer feeling sadness, he was happy.
