"Dear son... It's time to wake up..." A voice whispered. Chrom looked up and noticed a strange black spirit standing in the distance. White eyes, the black tentacles rose from behind him, and a white foggy crown.
Chrom asked, "Who... are you?" Chrom looked at him in confusion as the spirit didn't seem to have much of a face. It just blended with the darkness of the entire room. Then the spirit began to chuckle. Chrom glared at him as he was about to grab his sword, but his sword was gone.
"I'm your Demon holder, Chrom... Apollyon..." Chrom's eyes widened in shock. That couldn't be true... Apollyon was standing in front of him... that couldn't be true in the slightest. Still...
"APOLLYON!?" Chrom shoved Apollyon out of his sight and sat back in fear. Apollyon stood there staring at Chrom and smiled at him. Chrom was shaking a whole ton and couldn't control himself.
Apollyon sighed, "It's so good to see you again after all this time. I always wanted to be reunited with you..." Chrom looked at him in shock, who exactly was he? He knew he was the creator of the Demon form but he didn't expect him to be real...
"REUNITED WITH ME?! I JUST RECENTLY LEARNED YOUR EXISTENCE?!" Chrom moved further away from Apollyon as he chuckled a little while staring at Chrom. Chrom looked at him in anger as he really was unable to do anything against Apollyon.
"You knew of my existence ever since you were a little boy, that necklace of yours, Dime, they're all links to me..." Apollyon grabbed Chrom's necklace and Dime flew out. Dime bowed down to Apollyon as Chrom searched the area in disbelief.
Chrom asked, "Dime... you knew this man existed?!"
"Yes, I did... but I hid it away for a reason, I didn't want you to get hurt in any shape or form. I just wanted a reason to keep making sure you wouldn't get rid of me," Dime explained while he looked down in shame. Chrom stared at him and then looked over toward Apollyon.
Apollyon sighed, "Dime is my child who I told you would be the next carrier. I can't believe he would 'protect you' from even knowing of my existence?! That makes me feel so hurt..." Dime looked away in guilt as Chrom kept glaring at him.
"He did it for a reason, unlike you Dime actually cares about me..." Dime looked at Chrom with a small smile as Apollyon felt his anger continue to build up more. Chrom looked at him with worry as he was shaking just by staring at Apollyon. Still he was determined to stand tall in order to fight against his strange aura...
"Dime doesn't care about you in the slightest..." Apollyon grabbed Dime and then pushed him aside. Apollyon then grabbed Chrom in anger and attempted to suffocate him. Chrom tried pushing him away but he was unable to do so. It seemed like Apollyon had control of everything.
Chrom grunted, "You are really going to attempt to kill me?! Your only mortal vessel you can actually take control of?!" Chrom looked at him as he felt his throat hurting more and more from the grip. He was nearly choking from the tight grip.
"Of course I would go to that extent, I already have someone that can replace you for how pathetic you are," Apollyon replied as he smiled. Dime dashed over and shoved Apollyon onto the ground. "D-Dime?!"
Dime shouted, "Step away from Chrom now! He has protected me and treated me more like a son than you ever would've! You live such a sad and pathetic life!" Chrom looked at him with a small smile as Apollyon looked at him with anger.
"Why are you rebelling against your own father!? I'm responsible for why you were even created all those years ago!"
"That's because Marth treated me the same way as Chrom did... he did everything in his power to protect me and make me not be seen by the mortals. They were scared for my safety and that made them huge parental figures to me," Dime explained. Apollyon stood there staring at Dime in disbelief. Chrom gently smiled at Dime.
Chrom added on, "That's right. I want to protect Dime because he's just like a second son. I know deep down inside that he has good intentions and doesn't plan on hurting us in any shape or form. Especially since he's already planned to be passed down to my daughter."
"Your daughter is dead?!"
"I know, but after we save Dawn, she won't be dead anymore, she will be free with me again. She will also gain ahold of my necklace once she gets older, after all it is tradition to bring down things you had all those years ago," Chrom replied while smiling. Apollyon stared at him and then groaned. Soon he vanished from the scene as Chrom took a deep breath in relief.
Dime laughed, "You did it Chrom! You managed to stand up for yourself against Apollyon! I know how hard that could've been." Chrom looked at Dime and nodded. Eventually he woke up again in the real world. He had stopped bleeding but there was blood everywhere on him.
Chrom groaned, "I have to get cleaned..." He got up from his mess and cleaned his area up. He went to look for a river and then from there got started on the cleaning process.
