Cries and Cries ~ Chapter 134

"I never knew how much I hated being alone after remembering all those times when I was alone... I was so scared of losing myself..." Chrom whispered as he continued hugging Alear. His entire body was shaking just thinking about what he was just reminded of. Those were real events...

Alear replied, "You have a full right to be scared of everything that has happened to you. I understand how you feel. You shouldn't have to feel that way at all." Chrom felt himself being comforted by being with Alear but at the same time he felt devastated just being reminded.

Chrom sighed, "Thanks for understanding Alear, I don't know what I would do without you or Byleth's help. You guys have done so much for me I don't know how I will ever repay you guys for all you have done." Chrom smiled gently at Alear as blood filled his vision again. He hid away as Alear gently hugged him tighter.

"You can start by not thanking us, we're just doing what friends are supposed to do. We're just trying our best to support you no matter what," Alear replied. Chrom looked at her and smiled as he coughed for a moment.

Chrom sighed, "Sometimes I get reminded how close I was to being dead. Those dark times I had when Emelia died... but then Claude saved my life by telling me how much I was loved. I don't think I would've recovered without his help..."

Alear asked, "He was that special to you, huh?" Chrom looked at Alear as he was reminded of Claude's death. His last words haunted him, knowing he was unable to save him from Magnus...

"He was everything to me... when we grew closer together I wanted him to be the one I was going to marry, I wanted to marry him so badly. He was everything I could've asked for," Chrom explained while smiling slightly but soon the smile disappeared from his face.

Alear sighed, "You and him were going to be absolutely perfect with each other. I know you guys are going to be perfect..." Alear saw Chrom's frown of sadness as he got reminded more and more of Claude. Being reminded of him just brought horrible memories to him.

"We were... until he died by Magnus. I want to make sure he DIES A PAINFUL DEATH!!! AGHHH!!!" Chrom screamed. Then he cried into Alear's shoulders. Alear patted him on the back as Chrom kept on crying on her. Soon she noticed Byleth was getting up as well.

Byleth asked, "Are you having a moment Chrom?"

"Very much..."

"Here I'll help come and help," Byleth went over to Chrom and hugged him as well. Chrom looked at the two and smiled lightly. Chrom kept crying as he finally felt himself stopping after being comforted by his two best friends. Still his vision was covered with the blood of his loved ones. They kept flashing in his eyes but he was determined to overcome them.

Chrom sighed, "Truly, thank you for everything you have done for me. I cannot express how much I am thankful for you guys..." He hugged them both very tightly as he was feeling... somewhat better about himself. Still it was much better than how he was feeling previously.

"We're thankful for you too Chrom! You're an amazing person and nothing will tell us otherwise!" Alear hugged him even tighter as Byleth joined in. Chrom hugged them both tightly as the campfire flames crackled gently through the night.

Chrom laughed, "I'm glad you feel this way about me. All this time I felt worried, scared. I know now that I have great allies with me at all times. They're not afraid to help me. They're here to make me feel happy and better with myself."

"Hell yeah we are,"

"Thank you guys... seriously I cannot thank you enough for all you have done," Chrom whispered. The two nodded as they heard crashes in the distance. "What was that?!" The group stopped hugging as they all got up from where they were sitting...

Alear asked, "Magnus?! Is he back again!?" The heroes stopped hugging each other and then got up. They got together and took out their weapons. They searched the area far and wide until they noticed Magnus.

Magnus laughed, "And then there were three. How exciting is that?!" Magnus swung his dagger around as Chrom glared at him. Getting ready to defend for his life.

"STAY AWAY FROM US NOW!!"

"What are you going to do Lowell? Try to kill me? Oh that's right, you have no idea how to kill me..."

Chrom groaned, "I may have no idea how to kill you but I know how to injure you. I think that speaks for itself." Chrom kept his eyes locked on Magnus as he kept on chuckling.

"Oh really? I want to see you keep on trying to save yourself from the trouble. You're honestly so pathetic it really shows when you are..." Magnus mocked. Chrom got enraged and got ready to attack Magnus. "Attack me with all you have. I doubt you're going to be able to do anything..."

Alear shouted, "WILL YOU SHUT UP?! NO WORDS WILL DESCRIBE HOW MUCH WE HATE YOU!"

"That makes this entire situation so much better!"

"NO!"

"YES IT DOES!!!"

"NO IT DOESN'T!!!" Then the heroes dashed at Magnus as he got ready to defend himself.
