The heroes had some food and packed their bags before heading off. Byleth and Albedo were still tracking down the easiest path down to Vivin City. The heroes all finished their meals and did some finishing touches to what they were going to pack. Finally they were all prepared to head out to Vivin City.
"From where we are it stays the estimated amount of time to get to Vivin City will be 3 days, but there can be delays due to the chaos that submerged," Albedo explained. The heroes looked at the map and nodded. They looked up ahead to the pathway they were going to take. It seemed long but they were determined to get to safety and notify that they're alive.
"Take care of yourselves heroes! You may never know what ends up happening! Hope you guys come back to visit again!" Weather Bot cheered. The heroes waved back and continued walking down the path. The aroma around them was cold. The air was getting colder. Hajime was doing some quick forecasts on his phone.
"Turns out the bad aroma is due to the volcanoes erupting near Dreamland and Kiredia. That can't be any good..." Hajime explained. The heroes looked at his phone to check and sure enough, that was the main cause of the horrible aroma in the air.
Kirby asked, "The volcano in Kiredia is beautiful and it erupts often but wow; the sky is becoming ashy for sure!" The heroes nodded as Marianne searched through the bag. She got the heroes' face masks and they continued walking. The ashy air was able to remove some of the red sky but now it just seemed orange.
"Hm... do you think that this road is going to be easy?" The heroes turned to Byleth as he was doing some research about the path. Then he shook his head.
"Absolutely not, I'm fairly confident we will be attacked by someone. Most likely Marth..." Byleth explained to Sonic. Sonic nodded and the rest of them continued walking toward Vivin City. They looked around the surrounding area, realizing just how empty the streets were. They were never like this before.
Yae Miko sighed, "The empty and isolated lands of this world... They scare me." The heroes nodded in agreement as Albedo and Byleth were leading them to the city. They made sure everything was okay and that nobody was harmed as well. Most heroes were not fond of the eeriness of the roadway.
Albedo sighed, "I have a feeling that we'll just deal with a few mishaps, I don't think it'll be anything too bad." The heroes looked at him and continued looking around. Albedo chuckled lightly before looking down at himself. Then he shook his head once again.
"You're wrong Albedo, I'm highly confident there won't be just some 'mishaps,' there is going to be worse..." Byleth crossed his hands and glared at Albedo as he looked at him with slight annoyance.
Albedo shouted, "Hey! Your predictions aren't always correct as they're just predictions! So let's just have a breather for once!" The two stared at one another and continued walking. The heroes didn't know what to say, they were too focused on making sure there wasn't anything nearby that would harm them.
Agent 4 groaned, "I would prefer if you guys didn't constantly fight over the simplest of things over and over again. It's not as fun as you guys think it feels." The two looked at Four and then nodded slowly.
Elfilin sighed, "Vivin City, I've only heard that it's the only city to survive the apocalypse that flooded all over Dawn. It seems to be on very high alert as of right now. That's based on my knowledge."
"Yeah I can confirm that's the case. Be suspected to see a lot of dead bodies once we get there," Hajime replied while showing the data to the heroes. They looked at it and then shivered.
Link sighed, "Maybe there's a way to get through it without seeing the corpses?"
"No can do, we have to go through the front gates or the people will think we're up to no good," Byleth explained. The heroes groaned and continued walking. The surrounding aura around them became more and more ominous as time went on.
Eula asked, "Isn't anyone feeling slightly tilted at the strange... aura?" The heroes all paused and turned toward Eula who started to seem a lot more startled.
"Well the sky is ashy, so there's a factor of the ominous aura that's surrounding us," Hornet replied. Eula stared at her and then looked around. The road was completely empty and there wasn't anyone in sight.
Niko sighed, "Yeah there's definitely something wrong here. Not sure what it is." The heroes slowly looked around but they didn't feel threatened... yet.
"My bet it's just the poor weather conditions. I don't think it's anything that horrendous. At least based on my knowledge," Starlow explained. The heroes nodded and continued walking when Byleth paused. He looked ahead and searched the surroundings.
Chrom asked, "Why did you stop!?"
"There's... something around here..."
"Something!?" The heroes took out their weapons and stood next to each other. Watching everything, checking their surroundings and seeing what exactly was going on. Soon... something in the darkness appeared... The heroes all stood there frozen.
Kirby asked, "What... the hell is that supposed to be?"
"I'm not sure... but we can't let it get to us! FOCUS EVERYONE!" Byleth ordered.
