"Chrom?" Byleth called out. The heroes were back on the road again but Chrom was stuck hiding upstairs. He went upstairs and found sobbing into his pillows. "Chrom... I just wanted to ask if you wanted something to eat-"
"LEAVE ME ALONE BYLETH!! I JUST WANT PEACE AND QUIET!!" Chrom screamed. Byleth nodded and went back down the stairs. Byleth sat back down with Alear and rubbed his head.
Alear questioned, "Nothing?"
"He wants a moment of silence, he's not feeling the best obviously so I want to let him be... there's no reason to bother him over this," Byleth replied as he took a deep breath. Alear nodded and looked outside the window. The heroes were rather chatty with one another but the two couldn't help but worry.
Alear questioned, "Don't you think it's strange how... normal it is right now? I'm so afraid that something is going to stir up and we are going to have no idea what is going on. Doesn't it feel that way?" Byleth looked at her and nodded slowly. The two watched as the rain continued to pour down upon them. Alear watched outside the window and felt her body slowly relaxing.
Meanwhile, Chrom couldn't help but continue crying and crying. All he had left were his children, but they were so young... he couldn't help but not think about those who lost. Emelia, Claude, Emmeryn, all he could think about is them. Enraged by what Magnus had done. While only Claude's death was caused by Magnus, Chrom couldn't help but feel irrational anger toward Magnus.
"Claude... I just wish you were here with me... I don't think I can push forward anymore, not without you. I can't do this without you... please," Chrom whispered into his pillow. Burying himself under his covers. Then he heard footsteps, he looked over and noticed Byleth and Alear.
Alear sighed, "Chrom it's already 13 o'clock we need you to eat something..." Alear put down a bowl of soup and looked down at Chrom who was crying under the covers. All they could hear were the muffled tears of Chrom's. "I know how hard life has been for you but there's no reason to give up now. I know you just had an outrage on us a few days ago but that doesn't matter. What matters is that you're with us."
Byleth added on, "I agree with Alear. Like she said, we cannot do this alone. We have to push through this together and fight through it all. I don't like the fact you're treating yourself like a piece of garbage. You need to stand up and do what is right."
"I don't... know if I can..." Chrom muttered as he pulled himself under his covers. He took a deep breath and blew his nose into a tissue as he cleared his tears. "I... I just don't know anymore."
Alear replied, "Whether you know what to do or not, that's a decision that belongs to you and you only. You're the one in control, don't make us influence your choices. However, we will step in if we ever so need to."
"Yes, I know you're going through a lot but one thing we cannot excuse is your actions, we don't want you to get to a place where you are stuck deciding life or death. Absolutely not, not in this state. We're doing this together. TOGETHER!" Chrom looked at Byleth and gently smiled. He looked up at the ceiling, the sounds of the raindrops. The bus is moving on the road.
A strange yet... calming feeling. He didn't know what it brought but it brought him... a feeling of warmth. Someone was out there to take care of him. No matter what would've been the case. There was no reason to cry over and over again. That was the case until...
"ARAGH!!" Alear and Byleth screamed. Chrom got up and noticed the bus was strangely moving uncontrollably. The three dashed down the stairs and noticed the heroes feeling the strange movement.
"WHAT IS GOING ON MARIO?!"
"SOMEONE... IS DOING THIS?! I DON'T KNOW WHAT ON DAWN IS GOING ON!?!" Mario tried to stabilize himself however nothing was working. Constant back and forth looping over and over again. There was no end to it all.
Chrom shouted, "HANG ON! BYLETH YOU AND ME HAVE TO STABILIZE THE BUS!" Byleth nodded as he went onto one end of the bus as Chrom dashed to the other. Then the two casted a spell to stabilize the bus more. The heroes watched as the two struggled through it all.
"Something is amiss, what is going on?" Zhongli questioned as he looked out the windows. From the distance he noticed a motorcycle chasing them. He tried getting a closer look but couldn't tell who the culprits were.
Eula questioned, "Hang on... is that... MARTH AND EPHRAIM!?" Alear dashed to the end of the bus to look out the window and from there she noticed the two trying to hit the bus with some magic spells.
Alear ordered, "MARIOO!!!"
