"Do any of you honestly believe that Magnus was a good guy a really long time ago and decided to go rogue because of all the 'bad things' that happened to him?" Kirby questioned as the heroes walked down the road. The heroes looked at him and thought about it for a moment.

Alear muttered, "Now that you mention it, that doesn't seem to be too far fetched. He was really sick and tired of being pushed around by the looks of it." Chrom looked at himself and crossed his arms. He glared down at himself and took a deep breath.

"Well if he was tired of it all, why did he decide to burn down our home?! He's insane in the head and there was no turning back from how he was..." Chrom muttered. He clenched his fist and took a deep breath. The heroes walked over and patted him on the back.

Byleth replied, "There's a lot hiding from Magnus but we need to press forward. Magnus is insane like you say and I doubt he's going to redeem himself. He's just a lost cause..."

"A LOST CAUSE?! YOU CAN'T JUST SAY THAT ABOUT PEOPLE!" Alear shouted in distress. The others looked at her in confusion as Chrom was beginning to get irritated.

Byleth replied, "Why are you getting so fed up with this?! Magnus has shown that there is no place for redemption. Look at him! He's obsessed with despair and chaos! He's a goner..." The other heroes nodded as Alear looked down at herself. She felt herself getting angry but at the same time... she tried to stay calm.

Alear stammered, "I-I know... I just thought of the possibility of Magnus being able to reveal his true self and not hide away in this dark shadow." She looked down at herself as Chrom started getting pissed.

"You're kidding Alear,"

"CHROM!? OF COURSE NOT! THIS COULD BE SERIOUS! MAGNUS COULD POTENTIALLY BE SUFFERING AND WE WOULD HAVE NO IDEA WHY!" Chrom looked at Alear and down at himself as Chrom took al ong deep breath. He glared at Alear as he looked away from her

Chrom replied, "Alear, as much as I want to believe that Magnus has a chance of reforming. I'm sorry to burst your bubble but he's gone. There's no turning back from who he is..." Chrom looked at himself and saw flames appearing in his eyes. He shook for a moment as he took a deep breath to get himself pulled back together.

"It was worth a shot, I just thought if there was a possibility," Alear looked down at herself in defeat as Chrom scoffed and turned away. Alear stood there staring at him as she looked down at herself in disbelief.

"You're a little too hopeful about things; no offense Alear," Sonic replied. Alear shook her head as she caught up to the rest of the heroes. They watched their surroundings and made sure Magnus wasn't near. It was quiet but at the same time... it just felt ominous.

Chrom sighed, "Ugh, no words can describe how much I just want this entire war to be over and we can finally live in peace." The heroes nodded in agreement. Suddenly Chrom remembered the weapon that was hiding within his bag.

The heroes looked around the area as Chrom took the weapon out. He uncovered it from the cloth and it was revealed to be a knife. Chrom was worried he was going to end up using it against his allies so he needed to find a way to get rid of it quickly.

Chrom muttered, "How do I get rid of this?!" The heroes kept looking around as Chrom dashed into a forest. He held tight on his bag as he went deeper and deeper into it. He felt smoke going against him as the flames grew in closer and closer.

At any given point in time, Chrom could die from the flames. The heat was racking up quickly as Chrom continue running in the forest. He took a deep breath and then put the knife on the ground. He was sweating and had to escape alive.

Time asked, "Chrom... are you certain you're sure of what you're doing?!" Chrom looked at the weapon and started breathing heavily. He wasn't sure what he was doing but he had to get rid of the weapon. He had too...

"I'm not sure what I'm doing anymore but... I have to keep on pressing forward. That knife could've been dangerous and I could've killed my allies with it," Chrom kept on running but he couldn't help but continue feeling the burning air around him.

Time shouted, "CHROM! YOU'RE GOING TO PASS OUT FROM THE FLAMES!" Chrom looked at Time for a moment and then smiled gently toward him.

"So be it... if I die here... I did it for a reason," Chrom grunted. Then he fell onto the ground. Slowly passing out from the flames consuming him whole... The heat was intense, there was no coming back from where he was...
