A Mess

Let's get into it.

First Person POV - Y/n

We left the castle together on Saturday and set off through the cold, wet grounds toward the gates.

Harry and I still didn't address the awkwardness but truth be told I didn't want to. I was putting myself on a break from guys.

I even asked Blaise that we just go on a break for a little bit and him being the seemingly spectacular guy he is, he agreed and told me that I can take all the time I needed for whatever I was going through.

He was quite literally perfect and yet I was far from that. Stupid Harry and his stupid face. Why did he have to kiss me? Why did he have to call me the most important person?

He was making me doubt everything I thought I understood about the relationships in my life and it was messing with everything. It was worse since Rita Skeeter was constantly on my ass and she would investigate tremendously why Blaise and I were on a break.

I saw him on the way to Hogsmeade and he smiled at me and it hurt to smile back. He was a good person and it felt like I was almost stabbing him in the back.

"Why do you look like you killed a puppy?" asked Hermione as we walked towards the Three Broomsticks.

I just sighed as we walked into the shop. I decided to focus on finding a sign for Hagrid, but there was nothing. He wasn't even in the Three Broomsticks.

Hermione and I got a table while Ron and Harry went to go order four butterbeers from Madam Rosmerta.

"Alright, now tell me what is going on with you," said Hermione and I just leaned my head against her chest. "Y/n, are you alright?"

"No," I said not lifting my head, "I have so many problems to deal with and I didn't think boy problems would be added to this."

"Boy problems?" asked Hermione. "Is something wrong with you and Blaise?"

"Yes, we're on a break," I said and this time Hermione lifted my face to look at her.

"Why?"

"Maybe because god damn Harry Potter and I made out the night of the ball," I whispered back and she screamed, "Dear god, Hermione!"

"Sorry," she said to everyone around us, "You did what?!"

"Yeah."

"Is that why you and Blaise are on a break?" she asked.

"No," I said before thinking about it, "Yes. I put us on a break so I could figure out my stupid feelings. I like Blaise, Hermione. I really really like him but that little glasses-wearing stupid bastard, Harry...he just...I hate this so much."

Hermione laughed and I put my head back on her chest and she just hugged me.

"Well, do you like Harry?" asked Hermione and I shrugged. "It's somehow worse when you don't know, isn't it?"

"You just date me instead," I said and she laughed.

"I'm flattered and I'm sure we would be a great couple but," said Hermione and she lifted my head, "You'll figure it out. Just listen to what your heart wants."

"Well, that's the thing. Little bitch doesn't know what it wants."

"What doesn't know what it wants?" asked Ron as they came back with the butter beer.

"Nothing," said Hermione smiling.

"I was just telling her that Blaise and I are on a break," I explained and Harry choked on his butter beer, "You alright?"
