Let's get into the chapter.
First Person POV - Y/n
It looked like the end of Ron and Hermione's friendship. Each of them was so angry with the other that I couldn't see a way for them to make up.
Ron was mad Crookshanks ate Scabbers but Hermione was convinced there was no concrete proof since the hairs could've been there before.
I wasn't taking sides because both sides had valid arguments. I didn't voice my opinions, unlike Harry who was on Ron's side, who then got yelled at.
"Okay, side with Ron, I knew you would!" she said shrilly. "First the Firebolt, now Scabbers, everything's my fault, isn't it! Just leave me alone, Harry, I've got a lot of work to do!"
I tried to help on both sides, which just caused Hermione to isolate away from me too. At that point, I didn't know what else to do.
Ron had taken the loss of his rat very hard indeed.
"Come on, Ron, you were always saying how boring Scabbers was," said Fred. "And he's been off-color for ages, he was wasting away. It was probably better for him to snuff it quickly, one swallow, he probably didn't feel a thing."
"Fred, shut the hell up," I snapped.
"All he did was eat and sleep, Ron, you said it yourself," said George.
"What the hell is wrong with you two?!" I asked annoyed.
"He bit Goyle for us once!" Ron said miserably. "Remember, Y/n? Harry? On the train, remember?"
"Yeah, that's true," said Harry as I nodded.
"His finest hour," said Fred, unable to keep a straight face. "Let the scar on Goyle's finger stand as a lasting tribute to his memory."
I had to turn around to make sure Ron didn't see me trying to hold back my laughs. When I turned back around, I saw that Harry and Ginny were doing the same.
"Oh, come on, Ron, get yourself down to Hogsmeade and buy a new rat, what's the point of moaning?" said George.
In a last-ditch attempt to cheer him up, I convinced him to come to the last practice, and it worked.
The firebolts seemed to distract everyone. I was faster than normal on that broom, no one could keep up with me and Harry was as fast as the snitch.
Madam Hooch observed it for a long time until Oliver came over and requested I have it back to practice. She nodded and left the field to sit in the stadium with Ron.
"Harry, I've just found out who Ravenclaw is playing as Seeker. It's Cho Chang. She's a fourth year, and she's pretty good. I really hoped she wouldn't be fit, she's had some problems with injuries," said Oliver as we all gathered around.
"On the other hand, she rides a Comet Two Sixty, which is going to look like a joke next to the Firebolt," continued Oliver.
Everyone took off and started practicing their own skills. Angelina, Katie and I started running some Chaser drills and at one point, I turned so sharply that Katie screamed and was thrown off guard.
"KATIE, I'M SORRY!" I yelled and she gave me a thumbs up.
"Y/n! DO THAT IN THE MATCH!" yelled Oliver from across the field. "That'll catch them off guard...Harry, I'm letting the Snitch out!"
Harry turned and raced a Bludger toward the goalposts. He outstripped it easily, saw the Snitch dart out from behind Oliver, and within ten seconds had caught it tightly in his hand.
