Lilith's point of view
"So? Are you going to race? It's one versus one again." Sam asks while we're getting ready to go.

"If there's still a place free."

"Koby has a always a place reserved for one of us. Mostly you. He loves you."

"I know, it's annoying."

After I was done with my eyeliner, Tom's words from earlier hit me again.

"Sam?" I look over to her, she's already done.
"Yeah?"

"You know German, right?" I ask and look back into the mirror.

'Ich liebe sie, Bill'

"A little bit, why?"

"Tom said something on his phone earlier and his voice broke..."

"In German?"

I nod, "Lilith, he's German, if he said something I probably won't get it."

"It's was something like 'ich liebe sie' I don't know if I pronounced it right or not.."

Sam stays silent and just looks at me in utter shock. "Tom? He.. He said that?"

"Yes? What does it mean?"

"It means 'I love her' Lilith."

Ouch.

"Do you think it was about you?" She asks.
"Why should I care.."

"Lilith.."

"I don't care if it was about me, I don't do 'love' and you know that." I look at my reflection in the vanity mirror.

Something in me, deep down, wishes it was about me.
But I shouldn't.

I'll get more hurt, than I already am.

"Lilith, I think you should let your guard down with him." Sam sighs.

"Sam, get out I'll change."

"Don't switch topics."

"I'm not switching anything, just please leave. I want to change."

Sam leaves and I open my drawer full of clothes.

I pick out a dark purple latex dress and black high heels, that are wrapped around my legs to my knee with two strings. Butterflies on the back of the heels.

Putting it on takes awhile. It's been twenty minutes, for the dress alone.

"Don't forget a jacket!" Sam yells from the outside of the door.

I roll my eyes and pull my leather jacket off my chair and put it on.

After I, finally, put the heels on, I grabbed my keys and walked downstairs.

"You look like a hooker." Sam says.

"Thanks!"

"It's not a compliment!"

"For me it is."

"For fucks sake of course it is."

We wait for Logan and then we walk into the garage. "I missed my Challenger." Sam says and lays her upper body on the hood of the car. With her arms spread out.

Logan and I exchanged confused looks but I shrug it off and open the garage door.

"Let's go, girls." Logan laughs.

"Women."
"Women."
