Apparently, Drew was sick of being in the friend zone so he interrupted you with a pick up line.
Drew: Can I tie your shoelaces?

Drew: Because I can't have you fall for someone else.
You were shocked. You didn't have much time to react because he kissed you and sparks flew. You knew because you felt it. You kissed back and that was the start of a fantastic relationship.
