Chapter 29

Jessica's POV
Sarah left around 30 minutes ago for her therapy session with her new counsellor Natalie, I hope this is the right counsellor now, not like Melissa.
Just as I get up to make coffee, I hear a knock at the door. I look through the peep hole and see her. What is she doing here?
I swing open the door. "What do you want?" I say with a snobby voice. "I wanted to apologise for any problems I have caused you and your wife. Can I please come in and explain myself?" She asks. I had the right mind to slam the door in her face, but part of me wanted to know why she did this. I open the door wider, signalling that she can enter. She walks in and we both go to the kitchen. "Coffee?" I ask "no thank you, I won't be here long"
"So, why did you do it?" I ask.
"Right, I had just had an argument with my husband, he cheated on me, and I was so pissed at him. I wanted to get back at him. I didn't know how. When I came here, you looked gorgeous, I'm not going to lie, but I'm completely strait, I have no idea why I even thought about kissing you. I shouldn't have. I was completely in the wrong, I just wanted Anthony, my husband, to feel the way I felt. But obviously, that caused problems for you. I am so sorry Jessica. I truly am" her tone suggest that she's pleading for forgiveness. "I understand, just please explain that to my wife, I love her so much, I wouldn't want to do anything to hurt her, and she doesn't trust me now because of what you did... I want to help her, and I can't do that without her trust"
"Jess, it's fine, she doesn't need to tell me I heard everything" Sarah's voice startles me. I turn around to face her. How long has she been standing there for? She smiles at me, and doesn't look at Melissa. "Anyway, I'll leave you two to it, and once again I'm truly sorry" Melissa says to the both of us before picking up her handbag and leaving.
