Jessica's POV
I wake up and it is 9am. I feel the left side of the bed for Sarah but she isn't there. I put on my robe and walk down the stairs to see Sarah reading a children's story out loud.
"...and they lived happily ever after" she finished. I stood in the same spot just watching her. She strokes her numb and speaks softly to her unborn child. "Ava, such a pretty name for my pretty little girl. I love you Ava, and I can't wait to finally meet you..." She says. She starts to sing in a quiet voice. "How can it be that right here with me

A little more time on you..." Her voice was so soft and comforting. I walked around and sat down beside her and pulled her close. "I love waking up to the sound of you singing" I say. She giggles and rests her head on my shoulder. "When is Kai allowed to leave the hospital?" She asks. "He has another month in there" I say. "What time are we going today then?" She asks. "Baby you don't need to come, you need to stay here and rest" "I'll be fine Jessie plus I want to see my baby Kai, he's just adorable" she says smiling. "Okay okay" I laugh. "I'm glad you think of him as yours" I say. She turns to face me "Jessie if you would let me, I'd like to adopt Kai" she says.
