*Two weeks later*
*Jessica's POV*
How long have I been here? Weeks? Months? Years?
My body is so cold, my fingers ache when I pick up my fragile son. We're both so hungry, she hasn't fed us for hours, maybe a day or two.
My mouth is so dry, I've given Kai all of the water we had.

I hear a noise outside of the door. That's weird. It's not the right time for her to come yet.

"Hello?" I try to say but it comes out as a whisper.
I crawl over to the door and begin to bang my fists on it. Please please somebody help us.

"Helllpp" I try to speak again, this time a little louder, still pounding my fists on the door.

Suddenly I hear somebody talk. "Is somebody in there?" They ask. Oh my gosh. This might be my chance. I carry on slapping my hands on the door, "yes! Yes! Please help us!" I cry out.

I hear the doorknob being jiggled. "The door is locked, I can't get in. Stand back." The man says on the other side of the door. I get back and I hear him kicking it, trying to break it down. He kicks it several times and I begin to see the wood cave in. Suddenly his foot comes through and I cry with happiness. He continues to kick the door until it bursts open and I come face to face with my saviour.

He comes rushing over to me, bombarding me with questions.

"Are you okay? How long have you been here for? Who did this to you? Are you alone?"

I begin to feel faint from lack of food and drink and I begin to feel myself slipping out of consciousness.
