*A FEW WEEKS LATER*
Jessica's POV
"Shhh shhh it's okay my lovely, are you hungry baby?" I hear Sarah whisper to baby Ava. I turn over in the bed so I'm facing the chair in which Sarah and the baby are sat. "Morning Sar" I say smiling. She looks up with a sympathetic look in her eyes. "Did I wake you Jess? I'm sorry, we can go downstairs if you still want to sleep?" She asks. I shake my head no. "It's okay honey, I need to get up and get ready any way. Today is the day!" I say quietly yet excitedly. "OOHHH I'm so excited!" Sarah exclaims.

I get in the shower and quickly do the job. When I'm done I pick out a casual outfit and make Sarah and I breakfast.
"What time shall we leave then?" Sarah asks. "Well I don't have anything else to buy for the arrival so we could go in an hour maybe?" Id like him to get settled in earlier on in the day rather than messing around nearer Ava's nap time, what do you think?" I say. Sarah nods yes and she hands Ava over to me so she can get ready.

*AN HOUR LATER*
I fix Ava into her car chair and we drive to the hospital. I'm so excited that Kai will be coming home today. It feels like I've been waiting years for this moment.
We arrive at the hospital and we go to the baby room. A paediatrician approaches us, Kai's doctor in fact. "Well hello Mrs Lange, this is quite a big day today. I'm happy for Kai, he's a fighter that one." Dr Robbins smiles at me. (Greys anatomy lol) She checks his vitals and fetches me his discharge papers. Unfortunately Sarah is waiting in the visitors room. This is the room where she came face to face with...him... I couldn't let her re-live that. Especially today.

I fill out the forms and I get Kai's things ready. I don't think I've been this happy since Ava's arrival.
