Because of me.. Her attacker was locked away because I was able to lock him away. Her attacker is Daniel...

I begin to think about how many other innocent women he could have done this too.

"When I saw on the news that he had gone to prison I began to research why and I found a report that told me what happened to you. Then when I found out that you would be my roommate I didn't know how to react. It brought back so many memories."
"Oh sweetheart, I'm so so sorry. He can't hurt you now, he's dead"

We sit there for what seemed like hours, hugging and crying.

"You know, since that night I never thought that anybody would ever understand what I was going through." I admit. She nods. "After he ended it with my mother she kicked me out, thinking that I was the one to blame. I ended up sleeping on the streets for a few nights until a policeman found me. He's now my father, he adopted me. Although he was an officer, I never had the guts to tell him."
"You need to tell him A, it'll all get better when you tell somebody. You need to be able to get this out more often. It's going to be hard but he will understand."
"I know I should but I don't want to be a burden on him. But we can get through this together now, Sarah, we can do this for each other. Stay strong for each other. We can't let him get the better of us anymore. I've always believed in karma, and he got it bad. God has given us a chance to move on in our life so we need to take it. It'll be tough but it'll be worth it. What do you say buddy?" She smiles and nods yes.

"This is it then. From now on our lives will be better, we will make them better no matter what."
