*Sarah's POV*
We re-enter the court room. This is it, the moment we have all been waiting for. Will I have justice?
"Please rise for Judge Marren." A guard says. Once he is seated the hearing begins for the final time.
"Has the jury come to a verdict?" The judge asks. A woman stands up. "Yes your honour we have" the judge nods and the foreman carries on. "We the jury..." I sit there with my head down, grasping onto Jessica's hand, praying for justice.
"We the jury find Mr Daniel Sallis Huston guilty as charged of two accounts of sexual assault."
I let out a huge sigh of relief as Danny is escorted out. I look over to him. "You fucking bitch, I will find you, kill you then spit on your grave" he shouts across the room at me then spits on the floor. But I couldn't care less at his words. I'm free from his grasp. Now I no longer have to worry every night that he will break into my house. I no longer have to be frightened on the streets. Justice has been served.
Lydia turns to shake my hand. "Congratulations Mrs Paulson" I ignore her hand and pull her in for a tight hug. "Thank you so much" I cry on her shoulder. I cry tears of happiness. "You don't know how much this will change everything I do, I owe you Lydia."
We pull away and she smiles at me.
"Drinks tonight babeehhh!!" I practically skip out of the building swinging mine and Jessica's hands.
"What time will Lily pick the kids up? I know she's been looking forward to this" I ask. "She just asked us to call her when we're ready then we have the night to ourselves" she winks at me. "I finally have you all to myself" she adds leaning me against our car and kissing me, sending chills down my spine once again. "God I love you" I say toying with her jacket.
