"Excuse us," I immediately said and pulled him out of there.

"What were you thinking saying that out loud?"

He looked puzzled, "What? You should be proud! It was your dream to marry him ever since you were a kid. What's wrong? He's your boyfriend."

"Even though I never officially told you, I guess you already grasp that we already broke up. You're not dumb, Gab."

"Yeah?" He answered sarcastically, "But he proposed to you and you accepted it. There's even a video of you saying yes so technically speaking you are getting married. I am sure even though I didn't even say it out loud...they know."

"No, they didn't know...but now that you mentioned they know it now," I answered anxiously while images of Fei's reaction played in my head. My stomach felt like it's going to explode.

"Why is it a big deal though? Ano ngayon kung malaman nila? Why do you look like someone who's committing a crime? Are you cheating with Rai?" He accused me. His tone and expression changed from nonchalant to serious, "Lily."

"I am not."

"Namamangka ka sa dalawang ilog. Did Rai know about you being engaged? Lily!" sumigaw siya, "I tolerated you for so long because I thought that it was making you live but I had enough. This is my threshold. You are not a cheater, Lily! You will never like your father, right?"

That was a hard blow. I love Mommy but I will never be like my parents.

"I am not marrying Adriel. I only told him yes because I don't want to humiliate him in front of many people. We ended two years ago and honestly, he knew why. I don't want to badmouth him to other people out of respect but I feel like I need to tell you why in detail because you are important to me. He cheated on me... 2 years ago."

He chuckled, "Your experience with flirting is nonsense with Rai. It runs in his blood. Siguro pagka-panganak pa lang niya malandi na siya."

I honestly want to go home now due to humiliation. I also do not want to deal with questions about me and Adriel but mom and grandma are coming.
