Tick.

Tock.

The sound of the turning dial continued to flow into the air in suspense as Elle sat with her hands nervously folded in her lap.

Elle bit her lip in anxiety as she stared back at the ageless woman with her amber eyes still agape in apprehension

As the Fire Nation women gazed on from all sides of their worried young friend with their paranoid eyes glaring back at the hunter's impassive face.

Only for the sound of Elle swallowing to resound into the air as a lone bead of sweat dripped down from her brow.

As Silah stared back at her with her pale lips adorning the barest signs of an amused smile.

Azula still sat authoritatively several paces behind her girlfriend with her amber golden eyes still keeping a possessive watch over her anxious little handmaid.

"B-back...where I come from we call people like you serial killers...Felix was always fascinated by them." Elle began in a timidly hesitant voice while Silah tilted her head in slight curiosity.

The trio gazed at their companion as they wondered where she was going with this.

"A...a serial killer is someone that murders people over a prolonged period of time for gratification...like you do. Serial killers...also take trophies...mementos to remember their victims by." Elle spoke in as bold a voice as she could manage.

Her amber eyes stared back into a dark green gaze that stared remorselessly back at her.

The three highborn women stared on with a morbid sense of captivation in their eyes.

"Is that a question or a statement, Elle?" Silah pondered in a chillingly unfeeling voice while she smiled over how the girl struggled to compose herself under her gaze.

"A...a statement." Elle replied in a soft voice while Silah stared intently back at her with her friends gazing on protectively from all around her.

She fidgeted once more before she collected herself as she quickly thought of what to say next.

"Why...why do you kill, Silah?" Elle questioned in a nervous voice after gaining the courage to speak while the ageless woman's lips curved into another chilling smile.

Almost as if she was entertained by her query.

The Fire Nation women stared at their young friend with taken aback expressions in their eyes.

And the princess for her part could only stare at the back of her handmaid's head with a trace of annoyance in her hardened eyes.

'Foolish girl! We have more important matters at hand than attempting to psychoanalyze this freak.' Azula thought as she tapped an irate fingertip along her bicep while she glared at Silah's face with a hateful amber golden gaze.

"You are going to have to do better than that, Elle. I was under the impression that I had already told you why. But all the same per the rules of the game, I will answer." Silah responded with a smirk on her unnerving lips while she took joy in watching the girl's amber eyes widen as she realized her misstep.

The gazes of the rest of Team Azula stared back at Silah in loathing as the ticking of the timer continued to resound into the air.

"I kill ...because I enjoy watching as the final sparks of life vanish from my victim's eyes." Silah confessed in an utterly monstrous voice while she observed the young girl recoil with her eyes agape in horror.
