Cordelia Lyra Malfoy had always been different from the rest of her family. Her family were blood-supremacists who tried to teach their views to their children. Cordelia never believed with their views and would be punished for it.

Cordelia and Fred moved on from the war after the trial, and life seemingly went back to normal. The joke shop was in full swing after the reopening and business was better than ever. Cordelia returned to work at St. Mungo's after the battle for a while, but complications with her pregnancy required her to go on maternity leave during her sixth month.
George and Angelina's relationship was going strong, and Angelina had moved into the flat above the shop with George. To an outside observer, the relationship seemed to be going too fast. Their relationship; however, had been on and off for years. They simply picked up where they left off before.
Kiana and Lee continued to live together in their flat close to the shop, but they still had no intentions of getting married. They were perfectly content with where their relationship was and they didn't need marriage to confirm their love for one another.
Cordelia spent her time off from work preparing for her baby by completing the nursery with pale purple walls and white furniture. The family learned that Fleur had a hidden artistic talent when she painted a large willow tree on one of the walls. The tree reminded Cordelia of the tree at Hogwarts that she used to sit under with Cedric while playing her ukulele. Fleur confirmed that she had inspiration when Fred told her about it.
There was a little hiccup during Cordelia's seventh month of pregnancy when George thought it would be funny to balance a bottle of Butter Beer on Cordelia's pregnant stomach during dinner one night. Cordelia became enraged and stormed out of the Three Broomsticks, leaving Angelina to scold the men. She explained to them Cordelia's hormones were causing her to be far more sensitive than normal, and her insecurities about her changing body were making her feel very uncomfortable and unattractive. Fred thought that was ridiculous. He found her to be more attractive than ever. It took a few days before Cordelia would be in the same room as George, but they eventually talked it out and made up.
Cordelia kept her promise to Andromeda by visiting her and Teddy often. They would visit her at the cottage as well. Amos and Adele were more than happy to have their good friend and her grandson in their family. Adele always thought of Andromeda as a sister, but having her in Cordelia's life made it feel even more real. She regretted not introducing Cordelia and Andromeda when Cordelia had first come to live with them. Andromeda had been stubborn about meeting Cordelia because of Narcissa, but Adele wished she had fought harder on the subject. Andromeda regretted it as well, wishing she had introduced herself when Adele and Amos met Cordelia on the platform for the first time.
Sunday dinner at the Burrow became a routine for the Weasley family. Cordelia always offered to help in the kitchen, but her pregnancy gave her a free pass to sit and relax. The rest of the family did step up and help so that Molly wasn't always doing all of the work. Ginny and Fleur helped with the cooking. Arthur and Fred helped with setting and clearing the table. Bill, George, and Angelina took care of the dishes. Harry and Ron usually stayed out of the way, often keeping Cordelia company while she kept her swollen feet up.
