The crowd looked at the bright blue orb in silent disbelief for a moment before each person started to turn away. Most guests started Apparating away before chaos broke out. Some stayed behind, looking for their loved ones before leaving. Members of the Order stayed to make sure everyone escaped. Black smoke figures flew into the tent, setting fire to the tent's canvas material, as well as the centerpieces on the tables, as they went.
The smoke figures turned into men and women, who the Order instantly recognized as Death Eaters. They jumped on the tables and marched through the panicked crowd. Fred refused to let go of Cordelia's hand as they assisted guests who were trying to flee by sending defensive spells towards the Death Eaters. Tables were turned over, tablecloths laid in piles on the ground, the stage was destroyed, and pillars were falling down. Through the chaos, Cordelia saw Harry, Ron, and Hermione run toward each other and disappear together.
"Hello Poppet," came a male's low posh voice from behind the couple. They turned to see Wulfric Mulciber staring at them with an evil grin, his wand pointing right at them. Cordelia's hand gripped Fred's hand tighter, fear coursing through her veins as memories of their last duel flooded her mind.
"You were supposed to die that night. Just another way you disappoint me. I guess this will have to be our night," said Wulfric, his pupils dilated in fury and determination.
"No!" yelled a brutal-faced Death Eater named Corban Yaxley. "There will be no death today, just Interrogations. Remember our orders, Mulciber."
Once the chaos died down, the only guests remaining were the Weasley and the Diggory families as well as Remus, and Tonks. Their wands were taken away before they were forced to march into the house with their hands in the air. Wands were being pointed at them as they were forced to sit in the living room.
"We just need some answers on the whereabouts of Harry Potter. Once we have them, we will be on our way," Yaxley informed the group.
Another Death Eater was walking around the room, checking names as he looked over a list on a piece of parchment. "We're missing three names, Yaxley... Potter, Granger, and the youngest Weasley boy are missing."
Yaxley turned to Arthur with anger and hatred in his eyes. "Now, where would your son and friends be hiding, eh?"
"T-They aren't here," said Arthur, keeping eye contact with the man.
"I don't believe you," said Yaxley as he bent in front down closer to Arthur's face.
"Please, sir. It's true," confirmed Arthur before he gulped. "Ron is in the attack, sick with Spattergroit... We haven't seen Harry nor Hermione at all since last Christmas."
"Search the house," Yaxley instructed the other Death Eaters. "They know where Potter is. We'll take them one by one for private questioning. Maybe one of them will break under pressure when they face us alone."
