Cordelia Lyra Malfoy had always been different from the rest of her family. Her family were blood-supremacists who tried to teach their views to their children. Cordelia never believed with their views and would be punished for it.

Cordelia squeezed her eyelids, keeping them shut, when a bright light disturbed her sleep. She didn't know where she was, but she could feel her left hand trapped and weighed down by something heavy. Underneath her hand, she could feel a soft and warm surface, almost like cotton. She slowly opened her eyes, allowing them to adjust to the bright light.
Her eyes scanned the room, and she realized she was in the Hospital Wing. The bright sun shone through the tall windows, filling the room with natural light and warmth. The room was quiet and still. She could see Professor Flitwick across from her bed where he slept. She could see Fred to her left, sitting in a chair next to her bed. He was leaning forward, using the as of the bed as a pillow. She tried to turn her head to get a better look at him, but a pulsing pain spread through her as she moved. She winced and brought her free hand to forehead.
"Someone's finally awake," a male's teasing voice chuckled.
Cordelia slowly turned her head to the right, keeping it on the pillow, to see Bill sitting up on the bed next to her. Fleur was doting on him, checking his bandages. His face had multiple scratch marks going across it, but it looked as though they were healing on their own.
"Did you sleep well?" he asked.
"Bill?" Cordelia's voice croaked with dryness from lack of water, as well as soreness from yelling the night before.
Fleur rushed to Cordelia's bed with a glass of water and helped her sit up before bringing the glass to her lips. The movement caused Fred to stir, lifting his head to see his Fiancé awake and drinking water. His hair was messy from his sleeping position, and his eyes were red from worry and lack of proper sleep. At that moment, he didn't care how he looked.
"Merlin, Cordi! I've never been so scared in my life!" exclaimed Fred as he stood up with tears in his eyes and kissed her forehead. She winced at his loud voice, as well as the sudden movement.
"Sorry... I thought I lost you," he whispered, sitting back down in his seat before holding her hand again.
"I'm right here," she said, her voice still a little raspy. "What happened?"
"Well, I came as soon as I received your Patronus," he explained, looking down at her hand as he stroked her knuckles. "It was chaos and I didn't know where to find you. I saw Colin running through the corridor and he said you needed help. I followed him and my heart dropped when I saw you laying in a pool of blood. Your skin was so pale, like the blood was draining from your body. I've never been so scared in my life."
Cordelia winced as she heard the description. "I'm sorry you had to go through that," she whispered.
"I carried you here and you've been out ever since, it's just past noon. You have a cracked skull, a sprained wrist, and a few broken ribs. You'll have bruises for a while," said Fred.
