Cordelia woke up early on the day of Fleur and Bill's wedding. They knew they wouldn't have much time to get ready later on, so she and Ginny decided to get ready before going downstairs. It would make preparing for the wedding a little difficult, but at least they wouldn't have to worry about getting changed when they would be so busy. Cordelia, especially, wanted to make sure that she was ready in case Fleur or Molly needed her for something.
Cordelia looked at the dress that was hanging on a hanger in her and Ginny's room. She loved Fleur's taste in fashion. The French woman truly knew what looked good on people and understood What they would be comfortable in. Cordelia admired the dress Fleur had chosen for her as she slipped it on. It was dark blue in color with lace on the chest and tule going from the fitted waist to her knees. The back showed off her skin from her shoulders to her lower back, with a piece of fabric around the neck to hold it up. Some of her scars from Lucius' punishments could be seen, but Fred's new concealment cream hid them well. Fleur even provided a matching headband that was made of the same material and lace as the dress.
"Fred's going to love seeing you in this," Ginny complimented her friend and soon-to-be sister-in-law as she zipped up the short zipper on the lower back.
"Thanks. Harry is going to regret dumping you when he sees you," said Cordelia. "Do you need me to zip you up?"
"I'm good. I know someone who could help," the red-head responded before she quickly walked to the door. She gave Cordelia a wink before heading downstairs.
Cordelia shook her head and giggled. "She is going to drive that boy mad," she whispered to herself as she put on her black heels before starting on her hair and makeup. For her jewelry, she wore the same jewelry that she wore every day: the daisy necklace that Fred gave her on her neck, the promise ring on her right ring finger, her engagement ring on her left ring finder, and her charm bracelet on her left wrist.
When Cordelia was finished, she walked downstairs to see Fred fidgeting with his clothes, clearly uncomfortable. She smiled as she walked over to him and began buttoning up his shirt. Fred responded by taking a deep breath and somewhat calming down, lowering his hands to her waist.
"You look good," she complimented her fiancé.
"And you're gorgeous," he responded as he looked down at her, his hands resting on her waist.
"I'd like to show you how much I appreciate you in that dress," he added in a low tone, his voice barely above a whisper. Cordelia blushed as she started to button up his vest.
"Oh, really?" she inquired. Her hands slowly traveled up his chest and rested around his neck. "Well, we have some time before your mum puts us to work."
Fred's breath hitched. "R-Really?"
Cordelia nodded with a smile. Fred responded by taking her hands off of his neck and leading her upstairs to his bedroom, hand in hand.
