The days that followed the events at the Ministry were bittersweet and filled with emotions. Kiana had woken up the next morning to find her best friend's bed empty. She and Lee became even more scared and worried when Cordelia didn't show up to breakfast. Different scenarios of what could have happened to their friend played in their heads. The couple found it even stranger when they noticed that Ron, Ginny and a few others were missing as well. By then, the owls had come to deliver the mail. Shocked voices filled with rumors were going through the Great Hall as the students read the Daily Prophet headline written across the front page:

"HE WHO MUST NOT BE NAMED RETURNS"

The newspaper headline, the missing students, and the missing headmistress could not have been a coincidence. Something had to have happened the night before. Kiana and Lee ended up abandoning their plates when a younger student said they had seen the group in the Hospital Wing. From her hospital bed, Cordelia filled them in on everything that happened. She crying when she spoke of Sirius' death, the image of him falling into the veil permanently etched into her memory. Cordelia felt the sting of grief that she had become all too familiar with as she mourned her cousin and wished to have more time with him.

Over the next few days, Cordelia kept checking in on Harry, much to his annoyance. She would ask how he was doing, and he always said he was fine before walking away to be alone. As much pain Cordelia was in, she couldn't fathom how Harry felt, and her heart broke for the boy.

On the last day of school, Kiana and Cordelia sat in their empty dorm room once all of their belongings were all packed up, reminiscing of their seven years spent in that room.

"This was our home for so long," Kiana commented with a sigh.

"Everything will be different from now on," Cordelia mumbled in response.

"Yeah, you'll be shacking up with your boyfriend and I'll be with my parents until Lee and I find a place," Kiana teased. "But we'll still have each other... The best part of being witches is that we can Floo or Apparate to each other whenever we want."

"Yeah, I guess that's true," Cordelia said with a smile.

With gravy hearts, Cordelia and Kiana slowly made their way out of their dorm and through the barrels, taking in the place they called home one last time. On the way to the entrance hall, they made pit stops to say goodbye to their professors, thanking them for everything they had done.

Professor Sprout held back tears as she hugged her Hufflepuffs, telling them how proud she was of them.

Professor Snape simply nodded and said, "You were one of the very few who did not disappoint me, Miss Diggory. I expect great things from you." Cordelia smiled at his words.
