Cordelia Lyra Malfoy had always been different from the rest of her family. Her family were blood-supremacists who tried to teach their views to their children. Cordelia never believed with their views and would be punished for it.

"Julia! If you're coming to the station with us, you'll need to get a move on!" Cordelia called out from the bottom of the stairs that led to the second floor of the cottage where the bedrooms were.
"Alright, mum! I'm almost ready!" A female voice came from the top of the stairs.
The staircase was Cordelia's favorite place in the cottage because that is where she could see all of their loved ones. The walls on the stairs were filled with moving photos of their family and friends. The entire Weasley family took up a wall of their own due to how much it had grown in the last nineteen years. Bill and Fleur had three children: Victoire, Dominique, and Louis. George married Angelina just two years after they had gotten back together and had two children: Fred and Roxanne. To everyone's surprise, Charlie was the next to settle down with a fellow dragon trainer named Aubrey. They lived in Romania with their two children, Lucy and Molly. The couple had dated for a few years and had kept it from the family until the engagement. Their daughters are the only children to not attend Hogwarts, as they attended a small school on the compound in Romania with the other dragon trainers' children. Ron and Hermione were the next to wed, and had two children as well: Hugo and Rose. Ginny and Harry didn't wait long after Ron and Hermione's wedding and they have three children of their own: James Sirius, Lily Luna, and Albus Severus.
The walls also had photos of Cordelia's side of the family consisting of Adele and Amos, Narcissa, and Draco. Their family had grown as well when Draco married Astoria Greengrass and had a son named Lucius. Andromeda was also on the wall, along with Cordelia's cousin and Godson, Teddy Lupin. Cordelia and Fred included Kiana and Lee as well, along with their daughter, Amelia.
The family made sure to include a section of people they had lost: Cedric, Percy, Tonks, Remus, and Sirius. Fred and Cordelia never allowed their departed family members to be forgotten, and often told their children stories about their loved ones.
A dog was sitting on the floor next to her feet, staring up the stairs in the direction of the oldest daughter. Twelve years ago, Fred surprised Cordelia and the kids when her brought home a Black Labrador puppy. The family named him Snuffles after the nickname Cordelia had given to Sirius when she was fifteen years old. The children loved that story and often asked Cordelia to repeat it at bedtime. Snuffles the Black Lab was now getting old. His pitch-black fur was now gray; his fast and energetic personality was now slow and lazy. Cordelia knew their family only had a few more years with the precious dog, and she was already dreading the day he would pass away.
After a few moments of waiting, a nineteen year old Julia came down the stairs. Julia was the spitting image of her mother. She had her mother's blonde hair and hazel eyes, though she had her father's nose and cheekbones. Her personality was just like her mother's as well. She had always been a super sweet child with a heart of gold who was eager to make people happy. No one was surprised when she was sorted into Hufflepuff just like her mother, along with her cousin and best friend, Teddy. As a young adult, Julia was still living with her parents, preparing to move out on her own. Her job at The Daily Prophet had allowed her to save for her own place over the last two years. Both she and Teddy had applied for an apprenticeship at the newspaper during their last year at Hogwarts. Teddy was a sketch artist, creating comic strips for the new comics, or "funnies" section. Julia was a reporter, focusing on local news. While Teddy was perfectly content with being an artist, Julia's dream was to become the editor of the paper someday.
