It was a few weeks after the Triwizard Tournament had ended, and a group of adults were meeting in an undisclosed location. The home they were meeting in was old. It was obvious to see that no one had lived there in well over a decade. Every room was dark, dusty, and full of cobwebs. No one knew what sorts of creatures had moved in and made this place their home. The guests and host knew they had a lot of work ahead of them in order to make this place habitable. But it was a good place to meet. The spacious home allowed for many people to be there at one time. The secret wards on the home made it undetectable to anyone who had not been granted permission to enter. Everyone in attendance for this meeting was sitting at a large table in the kitchen, going over what the next steps would be after the most recent change in events.
The group consisted of a number of vastly different people. One wouldn't think these people would meet together by the looks of them.
First, it was Molly and Arthur Weasley. Arthur sat on a chair at the long table while his wife moved about the kitchen. She was attempting to clean it the best she could with her magic. His eldest son, Bill sat on his left side, saving an empty seat for his mother in between them. Adele and Amos Diggory sat next to Arthur on his right side, holding hands on the table. The couple radiated sadness and grief, the death of their son still painfully fresh. Next to Amos sat Kingsley Shacklebolt. He sat with a stoic expression, showing the world his inner strength. He, too, was still grieving. Cedric was like a nephew to him. He shielded his grief from the world in order to help his best friends, and distracted himself with his work as an Auror. Next to him was Mad-Eye Moody. He sat in silence as his fake eye rolled around in his eye socket, observing the group. Next to Moody was a younger woman with short, pink hair. She went by Tonks. She had just completed her training to be an Auror, and Moody was her mentor. Across from Tonks was Remus Lupin. Scars scattered his face, and his clothes looked worn out and patched up. He looked tired from his most recent werewolf transformation. Sitting next to him was Sirius Black. He looked a lot cleaner and healthier than he had in the past, but his smile showed a hint of sadness. He looked extremely uncomfortable to be in this house as his gaze darted around the room. He also looked painfully worried about everything going on, but his worry was centered around his godson, Harry Potter. There were other members scattered around the table: Dedalus Diggle, Elphias Dodge, Sturgis Podmore, Hestia Jones, and Mundungus Fletcher. This group of people were there for the same thing: a common need to fight back against the forces threatening their way of life once again.
Albus Dumbledore strode into the kitchen and stood at the head of the table. "Hello, welcome to the first official meeting of the Order of the Phoenix. I wish we didn't have to start up this secret society once again, but I am glad all of you are back, and I am glad to see our newest member in attendance."
