Cordelia Lyra Malfoy had always been different from the rest of her family. Her family were blood-supremacists who tried to teach their views to their children. Cordelia never believed with their views and would be punished for it.

On the morning of her wedding, Cordelia used the attic to get ready. Adele, Tonks, and Kiana were there to get ready themselves, as well as to help her.
Kaiana and Tonks got themselves ready first. They had chosen a knee length dress with a black lace chest and a ribbon tied into a bow on the waist. Kiana's dress was teal, while Tonks' dress was dark blue. Tonks' dress had to be altered with a charm in order to fit her eight-month pregnant belly. Tonks sported her usual bubblegum pink hair, while Kiana put hers up in a simple up-do.
Cordelia wore a silk robe as she sat in a chair, allowing Adele and Kiana to do her hair and makeup.
"Are you nervous, Cordi?" asked Kiana, as she applied a natural look to allow Cordelia's natural beauty to shine through the minimal make up. No blush was used, and very little eye shadow and mascara was applied to her face.
"A little, but I never wanted anything more than this," answered Cordelia, before Kiana applied a layer of shiny lip gloss in lieu of lipstick.
"I was a nervous wreck when I married your father," admitted Adele, putting her daughter's hair up into a low up-do with strands of hair curled into the bun. Some strands were left in the front to frame her face.
When the women were done, they took a step back to inspect their work. "Something is missing," said Kiana.
"I was a little nervous when I married Remus. But a little nerves are a good thing," said Tonks, who placed a few small flowers into Cordelia's hair.
"It's perfect," said Adele with a smile.
Next was the dress. Cordelia took off her robe, leaving her in a slip, as Adele held the white gown near her feet so that she could step in. The women helped Cordelia pull the dress up and get her arms through the lacy shoulder straps. The gown did not have a zipper, but rather a ribbon going down the low back. Tonks tightened the ribbon and tied a bow at the bottom, much like tying a shoe.
Kiana knelt down and helped Cordelia put on her white high-heels, while Adele and Tonks helped put on her jewelry. Cordelia had decided on wearing her usual jewelry: Fred's daisy necklace, her charm bracelet, and her promise ring on her right hand. She decided to keep wearing her engagement ring as her wedding rung and was against adding a wedding band, so George had that ring, along with Fred's new wedding band.
Adele sniffed and attempted to hold back tears as the four women looked at their reflections in the mirror. Cordelia turned to her adopted mother.
"Are you crying, mum?" she asked.
"I'm just so happy," answered Adele, wiping tears from her eyes with a tissue. "I remember when we first met you at King's Cross. You were such a shy little girl... Now you're a grown woman who is getting married... Look how far you've come."
