On the 23rd of December, Cordelia woke up to Fred kissing her cheek. Her eyes opened and instantly fell on her boyfriend who was hovering over her with a smile.

"When you get off work today, dress in something nice," he said as he caressed her cheek. "We're going on a date."

Cordelia returned the smile as she sleepily asked, "What do you have planned?"

"It's a surprise," he said, giving her a wink before he got out of bed.

When Cordelia exited the bathroom after she was dressed and ready for work, she went to the bedroom to see if Fred needed anything. To her surprise, he was not in the room. She was even more surprised when she walked into the kitchen to find that breakfast was already cooked. Both twins were already dressed for the day. George was sitting at the table, sipping on a cup of coffee, while Fred was dishing food onto three plates.

"This is a lovely surprise," she commented with a smile as she sat down at the table.

"It was all Fed," George shrugged sleepily.

"I just wanted to do something nice for you this morning. I know things have been off lately, so I wanted to show you how much I care," Fred said as he placed a plate of food in front of her, kissing her head before sitting in his chair.

The meal was spent with mild chatter as they allowed themselves to wake up for the day. Fred was surprisingly a good cook, and he admitted that cooking was something he wanted to do more of. When it was time to go, Cordelia kissed Fred on the lips.

"Don't worry about cleaning up," Fred told Cordelia as she placed her plate in the sink. "I'll take care of it."

"I love you. Thank you for breakfast," she said, kissing one last time before making her way to the fireplace.

No one was in the flat Cordelia returned from work. She did what she was told earlier that morning and went straight to the bedroom to change her clothes. She wasn't sure what they were doing. She knew she wanted to dress nice, but also warm since it had snowed the night before. She decided on a dress with a black and teal dress that rested on her neckline. It had a piece of fabric on the waist before teal fabric proofed out, covered in a see-through tule. She wore warm leggings underneath and slipped on a pair of warm, yet cute boots. Her hair was in her usual headband and she wore her usual jewelry: her daisy flower necklace, charm bracelet, and promise ring.

When she was done, she placed her hand on the knob of the closed bedroom door. She stopped; however, when she heard voices in the living room. Fred and George must have closed the shop and come upstairs while she was changing. She could hear whispers, only picking up fragments of their conversation.
