"You'll recover faster if you rest." Yichen told the restless Mochou.

"I'm fine. Besides once our Goji Berries come home I won't have time to do anything." Mochou said. He had been bustling around the house all day cleaning and reorganizing things. The occasional cough escaping his lips as he moved around the house.

"If you want to clean the house, I'll do it. I must insist you rest in bed." Yichen said as he helped Mochou move the sofa.

"I'm really feeling better. I think the babies can come home tomorrow."

"We agreed two days."

"But..."

"I know you miss them but it's best to be careful." Yichen reminded him.

"You're right. But... maybe you could go check on them? Just to make sure they are doing okay." Mochou asked.

"I saw them a few hours ago. They were doing fine."

"Tch... I wish we had phones, better yet, video chat. Then I could check on our twins myself." Mochou grumbled.

"What did you say?" Yichen asked.

"Nothing." Mochou replied.

He had long gotten used to life in this world but there were several things he missed. The internet and at the moment video chats were amongst the list of things he missed. Without them he could only rely on Yichen to check on the babies and report back to him.

"I wrote a new book for the twins. I think they'll really like this one and it will be their study time soon..."

"Okay, I'll bring it over to them." Yichen said. He knew Mochou was anxious and decided to play along and check on the twins again.

While Yichen was gone Mochou went from cleaning the house to making more toys for the twins. Between making the usual wares to sell in town he also made picture tiles to teach the twins how to read. Similar to rudimentary flash cards. He knew his four month old babies were too young to even begin learning but he couldn't help but want to set them up for a bright future.

This pattern of Mochou begging Yichen to go check on the babies every few hours while he did work around the house continued over the next two days. Each time Yichen returned Mochou would grill him on every little detail of how the babies were doing. Until Finally Yichen went to go pick the up and bring them home.

...

"Mochou, we're home." Yichen called out from the entrance. Mochou was in the babies' room when Yichen returned. The moment he heard the familiar babbling that he had grown to know and love he jumped up and ran towards them.

"Goji Berries! Welcome home." Mochou exclaimed joyously. Yichen was frozen in place. A sour smell emitting from him at the sight.

"He's never been this happy to see me." He thought.

Mochou never even noticed his feelings. He reached out and picked up his big Goji Berry. The moment he did Muchen giggled and started clapping his hands.

"Did you miss me? Fumu missed you." Mochou said. He hugged him tightly and lovingly rubbed his cheek against his son's little head. Seeing his brother being fondled over by their fumu Muyang reached out and started to cry.

"Don't worry Little Goji I haven't forgotten about you." Mochou said he then reached out to pick him up. Yichen went to help switch Muchen with Muyang but when he tried to take Muchen away he grabbed Mochou's robe and began wailing loudly.

"I don't think he wants you to let him go." Yi Xuan said from behind Yichen. He had followed along to help carry the babies toys and other things back for Yichen.
