After Death, I Finally Met The Man Of My Dreams

Extra: Red Eyed Baby

Quian Duo and the rest of the group waited for Mochou and Yichen to return after entering the forest in search of the roe deer.

"It's taking too long." Fei Long said. Quian Duo agreed and they decided to head over in search of Mochou and his husband Yichen.

They searched the area for a long time before finding a hurt and dying roe deer pierced by one of Mochou's handmade arrows.

"He must be close by."

"It's strange. I see no signs of any zombies. It's almost like they just up and vanished." Fei Long said as he roamed the area. Hearing his comment Quian Duo was reminded of the story Mochou had told him.

"Were they sent back?" Quian Duo couldn't help but wonder as they continued to look around the area. He was filled with conflicting feelings at the thought of his best friend being gone but also happy for him because the world he described was a much happier and safer place than the hell he was currently living in.

They searched the area a little longer when suddenly Quian Duo heard a light rustling. Curious but still cautious he moved towards the sound. Fei Long had his back and carefully followed behind.

"What the f*ck?" Fei Long exclaimed when they found the source of the sound. Quian Duo was equally shocked at the sight of a naked little baby sleeping in a pile of clothes that looked exactly the same as what Mochou was wearing the last time they saw him.

"Is that really a baby? Maybe it's a zombie?" Fei Long cautiously said after calming down.

"It doesn't look like a rotting corpse. It looks like any normal baby." Quian Duo thought. As they debated what to do the baby began to stir. Quian Duo couldn't ignore it and walked over to pick it up.

"Wait!" Fei Long said reaching out to try and stop him but Quian Duo didn't stop. He picked up the chubby little baby and wrapped him up in the clothing that was left on the ground.

After being picked up the little baby opened its eyes and revealed its bright red eyes that resembled beautiful opals. Quian Duo was immediately reminded of Mochou and how he talked about how he became a red eyed GER.

"Was Mochou replaced with a baby from that world?" He wondered as he stared into its innocent eyes.

Fei Long who was on guard behind him peeked over Quian Duo's shoulder to look at the baby.

"It's eyes are red. Do you think it's been contaminated by the zombies?" Fei Long asked.

"Does it look like it wants to eat us? It's probably part albino or something."

"I don't think that's how albinism works."

"So what, I'm telling you his red eyes are perfectly normal." Quian Duo asserted. He held the baby tight and headed towards the jeep.

"Where are you going? We haven't found Mochou or that husband of his." Fei Long said. Quian Duo didn't know how to explain it but after seeing the baby laying in Mochou's clothes he knew he was gone or rather that he had gone back to the the other world.

"Grab the roe deer and let's go. We're running out of time and have to leave the area before we go over there limit." Quian Duo said but Fei Long wasn't willing to give up.

"What the hell. Mochou is your best friend how can you be willing to just leave without him?" Fei Long angrily shouted as he grabbed his shoulder.

"Because we aren't going to find him."

"How can you say that?!"

"Because he's gone."

"Gone where?"

"A place far away from here."

"Quian Duo, stop it with the cryptic answers and be straight with me. Where is Mochou?" Fei Long demanded.

Quian Duo stared at the worried Fei Long and decided to tell him the truth. At first Fei Long couldn't believe it but when Quian Duo pointed out the fact the clothes belonged to Mochou and Yichen's mysterious and sudden arrival he began to believe Quian Duo's story.

"Is he really gone?"

"I think so, and I think this baby has something to do with it."

"Like it's his replacement or something?"

"Maybe."

"So what are we supposed to do with it?" Fei Long asked.

"Raise it, obviously." Quian Duo said.

"Seriously? How the hell do we raise a baby in this hellish nightmare?"

"I don't know but we can't just abandon it here."

Fei Long looked at Quian Duo and the baby and had to admit it would be wrong to leave it behind. Especially if the baby was connected to their comrade and friend Mochou.

"Fine, whatever let's take it with us and raise it or whatever." Fei Long said.

Quian Duo smiled as he hugged the baby tight.

"So what are we going to call it?" Fei Long asked as they walked along.

"I don't know but don't you think it looks like a Little grape all balled up like this?" Quian Duo said.
