Savannah P.O.V
I stand in front of Chase and Jen in total shock. Chase's eyes look three times bigger than they normally are."You!"
"Nice to see you again Chase I hope your practice wasn't so much of a bother for you with our visit tonight," I offer him my hand to shake.
He clears his throat and takes my hand, raising it to his lips kissing the back of my hand softly making my cheeks feel warm and the butterflies start flapping uncontrollably around in my stomach.
"Your presence here tonight has made up for how my practice went and may I say, you look absolutely beautiful tonight I love that color green on you." I smile at him for his compliment now realizing where the green looks familiar. His eyes.
"Thank you, Chase, that's very sweet of you," He doesn't let go of my hand straight away he just stands there and looks at me. Mr. Lockwood clears his throat as Dad stares at Chase feeling all eyes are on us Chase lets go of my hand as I go and hug Jen.
"I take it you guys have already met."
"We did Daddy, Savannah here is my partner in our History project."
"And I helped her pick up her stuff when we accidentally bumped into each other before first period."
"Oh, Chase don't forget in History when you made me switch seats," I lean in and whisper to him "By the way thanks for that if you didn't Jen and I wouldn't have become friends." Chase drops his head in shame when I tell everyone what he did.
"You made this young lady move her seat I thought we raised you better than that" His mother tuts at him. I love this woman; she must be one of the only few females who can make Chase feel like an idiot.
"Would you like a drink, Maxwell?" Mr. Lockwood offers.
"Yes, please Stuart I would like a scotch on the rocks and Savannah?" Dad turns to look at me.
"Oh, um... a water would be lovely thank you." Mr. Lockwood looks at one of the bartenders and nods at them and they busy themselves making us our drinks.
"Please follow me into the lounge as we wait for dinner to be ready it won't be much longer," Mrs. Lockwood leads the way into the lounge.
"Savannah, may I have a quick word?"
"Certainly, Mr. Lockwood how can I help you?"
"Are you ready for our little surprise?"
I nod "Yes sir I am all set and ready."
"Perfect after dinner we will go into the music room and when we are in there that's when you will surprise her with your talent."
"Absolutely just give me the cue and I will take it from there."
"Thank you so much, Savannah."
"My pleasure Mr. Lockwood." After our private conversation, Mr. Lockwood escorts me to the lounge.
As we walked into the lounge, I see Chase standing there by the fireplace talking to Dad watching me walking in with his dad. I went over to the couch to talk to Jen, and I swear I could feel a pair of eyes following me with every step I take.
Sitting down on the couch I turn towards Jen "What a total surprise I can't believe it was your family we were having the dinner party with."
"I know an utter shock I still can't believe it myself but thinking back to lunch when you choked on your drink when Chase" She points towards her brother who is still looking at me, "Mentioned in front of you about this dinner party I should have thought it might have been you but why didn't you tell me?"
"I honestly forgot whose dinner party we were attending as I forgot the last name of who we were dining with, but it wasn't until your dad was at my house when I got home, I remembered but by then it was too late."
"All is forgiven now, and I would love to see that look of surprise on my brother's face every day just to relive that moment" We both laughed as Chase approached us.
"What's so funny?" he hands me my glass of water I asked for.
Both Jen and I say together "Nothing."
