"Was the day Savannah was born the first?" I'm curious to see what goes on in this man's head when it comes to his daughter.

"If you ask your father the same question Chase, he will give you the same answer. To us parents the very second you kids take your first breath, and you cry that is the happiest moment of our entire lives. The feelings we have in that moment are so full it is hard to explain unless you live it yourselves."

"That's more a question Jen would ask not me sir," I say squeezing my sister into my side. Jen elbows me in my side from my comment I let out a quiet umph from the sudden hit. "Bitch," I whisper so only my sister can hear.

"That may be true, but I will take your word for it Mr. Blakemore especially since you already shared the romantic story about your heroism with Mrs. Blakemore when you were in college."

"Story? There's a story?"

"Oh yeah Chase you missed it; Lucas told me you helped with the date, if that is how your romance works then Mr. Blakemore's story tops that," Selena informs me.

"He told you that? That should have been just between us and Savannah because I asked her to help out with the song."

"There are no secrets between us, just like what Mr. Blakemore told us from his story if you want a relationship to work there should be no secrets and total honesty."

"I'll tell you the story when we get back to the office as we work on them files together, as I need your young eye to assist with some of the numbers."

"Looking forward to it," I smile thinking about what Selena just said about no secrets and honesty. It makes me think of Dream and how very soon enough there will be no secrets between us as we will find out who each other are and hopefully we will start something between us if the connection is real or if it was just in cyberspace.

"Don't you have to get back to the office now dear?" Mom questions me.

"Yes, I better head on back before Dad has an aneurysm because I've not returned. Mom, can you please call Dad and inform him that I am on my way back and will be headed to Mr. Blakemore's office to assist him with them files."

"If you head back right now, I will do."

"Yes ma'am," I give Jen a kiss on the top of her head and walk over and give my mom a kiss on her cheek. "I'll see you back at the office sir and I'll be ready for when you return, so we can crack on with them files."

"I'm counting on it if we get them files done today, tomorrow their businesses will make a fair bit of money."

"That's the plan, Mr. Blakemore, I'll see you tonight after work Mom," I give her another kiss on the cheek, and I am out the door and headed back to the office.

Traffic at this time of day going into Santa Monica is crazy. I had no choice but to call Dad's office number and tell him directly I am caught in traffic, but I will make up my time by working late I should only be twenty minutes but not holding my breath.

All I know is that as soon as I get back into the office, I am going to be busting my balls and in for a long night, I better text Mom later that I'm not going to be home in time for dinner and I'll get myself something on my way home.

Today could not have gotten any worse if it could. Traffic getting back to the office and them fucking files were a cluster fuck after another. Misprints, errors false numbers anything you can think of Mr. Blakemore and myself worked until gone eleven at night to correct everything and get them in order.

I was ready for bed by the time I walked through that front door. But as my luck has it that's not going to happen as soon as I walk into the family room Dad turns on the table lamp to illuminate his presence. Well guess gotta tell him what happened when I got back. All he can say is the work is done and the corrections were made, and the company has made money. But what is on my mind now is that shade blue dress I saw at mom's shop and how my heart raced. Surely it could only mean a possibility of two maybe three things. It's Savannah, it's Dream, or I'm going crazy. I'm hoping it's not option three just not long to wait to find out as the ball is vastly approaching.
