"Can I tell my plan now Jen, so you know what you are doing? As we three are part of it."

"We are!" Jen and I are the ones this time to talk in unison.

"Yeah, Jen I don't know if you want to or not you have a couple of suggestions. First one is you can sing with Savannah if you feel up for it. Or you can record the performance as well as Lucas and Selena."

"Just to be on the safe side I think it's best that I record, I can't match Sav's talent."

"Right okay that's dealt with Savannah as you have guessed it, I want you to perform for them. I have the guys here setting up the stage and lighting for us. I will be playing along with you if that's okay with you?"

"Yeah, that's fine with me do you have an idea on what we should perform so we could have a quick practice now or I could teach you the song if you don't know it."

"Do you know 'I Won't Let Go' by Rascal Flatts?" I ask him since I know that's quite a romantic song.

"Luckily, I do know some of the chords but not sure on the melody so if we could go over that quickly that would be great."

"Perfect."

"Oh, I love that song that would be perfect for them too. Oh, I can't wait for them to arrive and see their reaction."

"Jen, just remember only Lucas knows about this, but they don't know what song so please don't be so loud and gaining attention our way."

"No problem, let's get this all set up for the happy couple."

After a quick lesson with Chase on the melody of the song the stage was fully set up and the lights were strung and giving a gentle glow. As the sun started to set the view from here looked so beautiful, I wish I could take a picture. Chase and I stood on the stage, and we had a full run-through of the song just to make sure it sounded good and luckily enough it sounded sweet.

The time of their arrival was vastly approaching, the sky was now filled with the stars and the waves were softly crashing against the rocks and pier. This night couldn't be much more perfect if it tried to be for this occasion.

With having a couple of minutes spare before their arrival Jen walks over to stand in a good spot to start recording. She has said she's going to start on us first then pan to them and if they start dancing, she will circle around them.

Just as Jen gets into position, I see them walking towards us on the beach. Their smiles are that bright I can see it from here. Holding hand in hand they look so happy together. When they got close enough Chase nods at me and we start our surprise performance for them.

When they realize that we are there for them Lucas wraps his arm round Selena's waist and pulls her closer into him. Selena leans into Lucas resting her hand on his chest. Lucas whispers something into her ear and she nods.

Lucas takes Selena's free hand and turns her into him still holding onto her waist they are now dancing to us playing. Nothing more romantic than dancing to a love country song on the beach under the stars.

When the song was coming to an end Lucas twirled Selena and as I sang the lyrics Oh, I'm gonna hold you and I won't let you go Lucas leans in and gives Selena the sweetest first kiss I could ever witness for my friends. This night has been one of the most romantic dates I have has the honor to be a part of.

When the last note was played, I didn't notice that a small crowd had gathered to watch the performance and they gave me and Chase an applause. Chase takes my hand gives it a gentle squeeze as we give the crowd a little bow.

Lucas and Selena had a fantastic first date. We stayed and helped with clean up as it only seemed fair to me. Jen went home with Chase as that made much more sense for them then that way, I have enough time to get home and make a quick video call with my girls in North Carolina. It's unbelievable how much you miss people when you live on the other side of the country to them.
