Savannah P.O.V

After I left the office, I walked to the beach to meet with Jen and tell her what happened. It didn't go down as I expected. She was a little annoyed at me for not staying and hashing it out with her brother and she's pissed at him for letting it happen.

Part of me feels like this time I'm the one in the wrong for jumping to conclusions. But I am so embarrassed that nothing in my life can be private anymore. And I'm more embarrassed that I am the one who screwed up this time and not Chase.

By the time I got home, I said a quick hello to Toni who was preparing dinner for tonight, and ran upstairs to my room. I sat at my desk with my laptop turning on, my guitar on my lap and my music sheets next to me. I might as well get lost in the thing I love most. My music.

Logging onto the Berkeley chatroom I wrote down some notes and lyrics on my music sheet while waiting for it to load up. Seeing all the names flash up for who is online I get a little excited as these could be my fellow classmates come next year. But there's one username that catches my eye and before I know it, I'm in a steady flow conversation with someone called White.Wolf_Knight and he sounds like a nice guy.

The more I spoke with this guy, the more I felt a friendship connection with him. Before I knew it, he had to go but promised he would be back online later. For the first time since I don't know probably a long time, I'm looking forward to speaking to a guy. Not long after Wolf went offline, I was called down for dinner. I find it comforting that I can call this guy by a nickname and throughout dinner I can't wait to be able to talk to him again.

I couldn't wait for dinner to be over with more than anything as I was not expecting my father to give me a lecture on my behavior at the office today. I didn't think I did anything wrong until Dad explained that Chase did, in fact knock on his office door as Dad and Mr. Lockwood looked back at the security footage before they left the office for the day.

Now I feel like such a bitch with how I acted and treated Chase. Dad is right I do owe him an apology and I will do just that once dinner is finished, and I clear the table. Or maybe I should do it in person tomorrow in school as that feels more appropriate. I better speak to Dad about this and see what he thinks.

Toni has always outdone herself with dinner as again tonight it was delicious as anything. I can't believe I'm about to say this, but the meatloaf Toni made tonight was nicer than what my mom made. Dad returned to his office, and I cleared the table and put the utensils and cutlery in the dishwasher whilst Toni went to the laundry room to finish the laundry. I asked Toni if she would like any help, but she declined and said she doesn't have too much to do and once she's finished, she's retiring to her room for the night.

Knocking on Dad's open office door I wait for him to look up from his computer.
"Come on in Savannah" I stepped into his office not liking the thought he never called me baby girl or sweetpea. He has only ever just used my name when he's disappointed in me. Taking a deep breath, I stepped closer to his desk.

"I know what I did today Dad was wrong, and I would like to also apologize to you too. My behavior was unacceptable, and I should not have jumped to conclusions like I did." Dad took his glasses off his face, sighing and he rubs his eyes with his thumb and middle finger.

"Well thank you for apologizing about your behavior today, you still need to apologize to Chase as well as he got in trouble with his father because of what happened today." Now that I was surprised to hear I guess I have another apology to make.

"Oh, I didn't know about that I should apologize to Mr. Lockwood too and explain to him that Chase did nothing wrong, and you were right I do need to not jump to conclusions when it comes to my privacy, and being made a fool of to make me feel embarrassed as this situation that happened today has made me feel foolish more than what happened. I can't apologize enough to you Dad as I know how hard you have worked for this promotion and the last thing; I want to do is ruin it for you."
