"Wow umm, that is a lot of information to lay on her father. I appreciate you coming to explain this to her. Only a real man will admit his wrong doings and will do anything to make amends. Trust me I know I did my fair shares with my Georgina."
"That is why I am here sir. I cannot and will not let her throw away something without giving it, giving us an actual chance. I didn't kiss Candace back as soon as her lips touched mine, I pushed her away instantly but at the same time Savannah saw and thinks I cheated on her sir." Taking a breath I continue my plea. "I intend to take her out on a date tomorrow for her birthday as she didn't tell me or her friends."
"Wait, what did you say? She didn't tell any of you?" Why does he seem surprised with this? Didn't he know?
"No sir she didn't."
"She is just like her mother, my Georgina," he smiles and seems happy that I said this.
"I'm sorry Mr. Blakemore I don't understand."
"You see the thing about Savannah is she is so much more like her mother than she believes. She has her kind heart and beauty. But she is also stubborn and never wants anything to be about her. When my wife was alive and going through treatment, we did everything we could to raise funds. When she found out that Savannah was planning a fundraiser to help with the medical bills, Georgina stopped her and told her to not make such a fuss if God wanted her to beat cancer, he would give her all the strength in the world to fight and beat it. The whole town wanted to pitch in to help but again my wife stopped them and said the money would be better going to the children's hospital instead."
"Wow, Mr. Blakemore your wife sounds like a saint. She was going through so much pain and all that treatment, and she thought the children's hospital would be better off with the money instead of her."
"That's my Georgina for you son. And Savannah is taking her mother's life lessons and making them her own. Both the women in my life are very headstrong as you know from that misunderstanding at the office when she came back from North Carolina."
"Yes, sir I can see how headstrong Savannah is but that's one of the reasons that makes her so special to me," I admit to him but that's not all that makes her so special there's so much about her that makes me fall for her every time I see her.
"But my question to you right now is, what are you gonna do to make it up to her and make her forget about this part of the night?" He sits and waits for my reply. Good job I thought about it a fair bit before I found out Dream was Savannah.
"Well, I did originally plan for us to go to the pier amusement park but now I'm thinking about going horseback riding after spending some time on the pier. Do you think she would like it?"
"You will make her smile with the horseback riding as I know she misses riding since we moved out west, she's not been near a horse. But if you do that you will be helping me out too."
What does he mean by that? "How sir? I don't think I understand." I sit here and listen to his plan. His idea sounds fantastic for Savannah, and I suggest including Jen and Selena in it and make it a mini party for her. She deserves to celebrate her birthday. "That's a great idea, sir, I am more than happy to oblige in helping you fulfill this out."
"Thank you, son, it has been wonderful talking to you let me go and see if she is willing to talk to you first." We both stand up and I follow him out of his office and walk towards the stairs. "Wait here and I'll see if she will come down and talk to you."
"Thank you Mr. Blakemore sir for hearing me out and letting me explain."
"No thanks needed Chase as I told you a few moments ago, it takes a real man to admit to his wrong doings." After leaving me with that final thought, he heads upstairs to try and get Savannah to at least talk to me.
