Chapter 81

"I like the sound of that, but didn't my dad tell you that I don't like having all the attention on me?"
"I am aware of that yes, he told me. He also told me you are just like your mom in that way. But tomorrow I give you my word it will not feel like all the attention is on you. It will be just us."
"Then my answer is yes Chase. Yes, I will go out on a date with you." Smiling up at him his smile is gleaming so brightly he is glowing. He leans forward and kisses me sweetly. His lips feel so soft up against mine. I lean into his body, wrapping my arms around his neck as I deepen the kiss. He matches my kiss as his arms wrap around me and pushes my body up against his making my body shiver in anticipation. I can feel his hard, firm erection pressing up against my belly. The kiss heats up as we both get lost in each other and forget where we are until we hear a cough coming from behind us.
Breaking the kiss and stepping apart I turn in the direction of the cough, "Dad!" Looking from Chase to my dad and back to Chase I am so embarrassed. "What are you doing up here?" I ask him as this is very unlike him. I would normally hear him knocking.
"Oh, don't mind me I was just curious as to why my daughter stopped playing her music and why I heard some shouting a few moments ago. And now I seem to know why. Chase, I thought you left son."
Chase stands beside me looking uncomfortable. Well, I just hope Dad doesn't notice Chase's very large package. Rubbing the back of his head he answers "Yeah uhh.. I was on my way home when I heard Savannah singing. So, I followed the sound of her voice and just stood around to listen until I read a text from someone stating a false fact." He coughs to clear his throat "But obviously I wasn't so discreet with my decision, and I was caught."
"I can see that but what I want to know as a concerning father is, what are you doing in my daughter's room?"
"Dad come on it's the balcony, not exactly my room, and what you saw was innocent. We talked and we are getting over what happened tonight together and we will make it make us stronger as a couple." I grab hold of Chase's hand, looking at him with a smile on my face and he responds smiling back and giving my hand a gentle squeeze.
"Well, I'm happy to hear that sweetpea." My dad starts to turn around and head out, but he stops and points at Chase. "Chase be lucky I like you, son, otherwise you would not be standing here right now." After that comment, he leaves us alone.
I turn and face Chase "I am so sorry about what my dad just said. I am so embarrassed that just happened." I lean my head on his chest hiding the embarrassment on my face. This is the first time Dad has ever caught me alone with a guy. Let alone in an embrace like we were in. I am so humiliated.
He wraps his arms around me and hugs me, "Sweetheart he had every right to be like that as I did kinda break in but not with malicious intent. I am kinda in your room, yeah, your balcony is not your room, but it's attached to your room. He caught us kissing too, a raging, hormonal teen boy with his teen daughter any father would see where it may have ended up."
"Is that what you would have wanted? Did you intend for it to end with sex?" If that's where it would have led to, I don't know what I would have done. I admit yes, I am a virgin, but would I have slept with Chase tonight? I honestly don't know.
"Savannah look at me," I do as he asks and look at him. "Would it have ended with me in your bed? Honestly, I don't know I'm just lucky enough that you allowed me up here to talk to you. Kissing you is a bonus sweetheart but when it comes to sex, I am not going to push you into something you don't think you are ready for. I give you my word when it's the right time for us we will both know."
I wrap my arms around him and hug into him as he rubs his hand up and down my back for comfort. "Thank you for being honest with me Chase, because I don't know if I would have stopped it if it led to that just now." He kisses the top of my head and rests his chin there for a brief moment.
"I will always be honest with you Savannah, from here on out."
"Can I ask you something that's been on my mind for a little while now?"
"Anything you know that." Why does he have to be one of the greatest guys I have ever met in this city?
"Why do you always call me Savannah, and not Sav like everyone else?" It does seem strange that he is the only person I know who has always called me Savannah.
He pulls apart from me slightly so he can look me in the face as he answers my question. "Simple. A beautiful name, a beautiful city, a beautiful soul, for the most beautiful person I know." Okay, he's not just the greatest guy I know in this city. He's the greatest guy I know in the world. That has got to be one of the sweetest things anybody has ever said about my name.
Smiling up at him I lean forward and give him a gentle kiss on his lips. "It's getting late I better turn in for the night."
"I agree it is getting late and I'll be back in the morning to take you on our date." Smiling at me he walks away towards the edge of the balcony. "I'll be back to pick you up at 10, hope that's good for you."
He starts to climb over the side of the balcony when I answer him "It's a date I'll be ready," smiling at each other as Chase climbs down. I can't believe it I have a date with Chase tomorrow morning. This has turned out to be the best 18th birthday any girl could ever ask for. I'm that happy I cross my arms over my chest and spin in a circle.
Just thinking I'm alone Chase pops back up and surprises me "Oh hey Savannah I forgot to say something." I stand still looking at him trying to not make it obvious that my breathing has escalated. "Happy birthday sweetheart," he smiles and winks at me then he disappears as he climbs the rest of the way down and leaves my yard. Oh, yeah, the best birthday ever.
