Landing at LAX I exit the plane and make my way through baggage claim straight through to arrivals not knowing who is gonna be there. Opening the door to arrivals I look around to see if I can see a familiar face. No luck just yet so I keep walking to see If they are closer to the main exit of the airport. I kept looking around to see if anyone was there, not seeing anyone I hear someone call my name.

"Savannah!"

I turn around to see Chase running towards me. He swoops me up in a bear hug and spins me around. I can't stop the smile on my face with how Chase has greeted me.

"Hey Chase, it's good to see you. Is anyone else here?"

"No, it's just me your dad got caught up at the office and he asked me if I could pick you up and take you back to the office with me."

"Oh, you're in the office today?"

"Yeah," he looks down at his suit, brushing off a piece of invisible lint on his arm. He looks fucking sexy in this suit. It looks like he was stitched into it with how snug it fits on his body.

"Okay, thanks for picking me up."

"Would you like me to take your bag?"

I take my bag off my shoulder and hands it to him. "Thanks, Chase."

"It's no problem at all. I'm just sorry I'm not as creative as my sister with the banner when you left." He takes hold of my hand as we exit the airport and head toward his car. "So how was your trip we missed you here."

"It was amazing went to a party last night."

"A party? Did you have a good time?"

"Yeah, the greatest. I got to sing the opening number with my friends, and I got asked to sing a set as well. Something I've not done in a very long time."

"That's great. I'm happy you had a great time. But um... did you have a date to this party?"

I look at Chase to see he seems a little anxious with what my answer will be. "No Chase. No, I did not have a date, unless you count Ocean and Charlotte as my dates, but I don't think they would agree," I giggled quietly as we reached the car. Chase looks down at me and smiles as he opens my door for me.

We pull away from the airport making light conversation.

"What else did you do whilst you were there?"

"I signed up to the Berkeley upcoming freshman class chatroom. Can you believe they still have things like that with today's technology?"

"I never heard about that! I thought all chatroom servers were gone because of social media today."

"That's what I thought too. But I guess Berkeley is staying old school. I could be wrong though, there were about one hundred people online when I signed up, I don't know if it's just students or students and professors."

"I might take a look into that as I have some interest in that school, but not sure if I am going to apply or not."

"You're considering attending Berkeley?"

"Yeah, it has one of the best finance programs in the country."

"I see you've done your research."

"You inspired me to think about my future in the long haul."

I feel my cheeks warm with that comment. I never thought I would ever inspire Chase. "I feel honored that I inspired you to think about your future."

"I'm happy you got me to see straight I can't thank you enough. I didn't realize how blind I was ever since I started dating Candace. But now that she's gone, I can see everything that I did wrong. And you are the one I am apologizing the most to because of my stupidity."

"Chase, it's now in the past I'm just happy you're seeing and thinking about the future that's all anyone can ask of you. I can see you have learned from your past mistakes."

We pull up outside Lockwood Finance Industries fifteen minutes later from leaving the airport. Chase parks the car in the underground car park, I grab my bag from the back seat, and we ride the elevator up to the executive's floor. Once we arrive on the floor Chase showed me to my dad's office and then went off somewhere. Before he vanished from my sight, I call out to him.
