Savannah P.O.V
Sitting up in the stands With Jen and her parents on one side, my dad on the other side, and Selena behind me. Dad was invited to come by Mr. Lockwood to come and watch as Dad used to play football in high school and college so this must feel like he's a young man again. Selena leans forward and whispers to both Jen and me."What the hell happened earlier? It's all I have been hearing about since I arrived." Selena asks as she leans forward to talk to me from behind.
"Yeah, I wanna know the same thing." Jen turns and looks at me, "I heard there's college scouts here to see some of the guys play but surely it's not that." Oh, shit if the scouts are here for Chase if they know about him laying out Vance, he's never going to get a scholarship and I will feel responsible. So, I tell the girls the short version of what happened.
"Vance was saying he's going to take me away from Chase just like he did with Candace. I had to stop Chase from hitting Vance then, but Vance called me a slut so Chase did what any guy would do in that situation and punched him knocking him on his ass."
"Oh my god!" Jen says.
"What a dick, Chase should have hit him harder he has no right to talk about any woman like that." Selena states.
"I know and I can't fault for what happened but Jen if there's scouts here for him and with what happened before he even got to the lockers ruins it, I will feel responsible."
"Surely, they won't look at something like that but if they do, I will personally send it to be appealed. They cannot punish him for defending a girls honor I will fight it till I am blue in the face." If Jen didn't tell me she wanted to become a lawyer last week when I was studying at her house, I would have believed it now.
The crowd started to cheer as the team came onto the field ready to start the game. We won the coin toss and get the ball first. I believe that means we've got a good chance of scoring first. I'm not fully certain of the rules but I'm sure I'll understand as time goes on.
The players line up and we all stand as Melissa Bradshaw starts to sing the national anthem. Don't get me wrong the girl can sing but is slightly pitchy here and there. Jen leans over and tells me as we all clap as the anthem finishes.
"You should sing the anthem at the next game you are a much better singer than Melissa and you have a better pitch."
"Thanks, Jen if they ask me, I'll consider it as I've never had an opportunity like that before."
The game kicks off and the action is underway as the crowd goes wild. The first tackles I could hear up here in the stands they were that brutal. I think this is going to be a very intense game and the score will be close. My eyes keep finding their way to Chase as he looks so sexy in his gear. I can't believe I am getting turned on over a guy in his football gear, I have never really been attracted to athletes before.
It has always been Cowboys oh and there was that one bull rider from a rodeo that was in town. I was sixteen at the time I didn't know what love was at the time. But Chase is on a whole nether level he's hot, he's talented, he's protective, he's gaining my trust back, and with everything Chase has worked for I am starting to fall for him again.
It's now half time and Chase has scored two touchdowns giving us a 21-14 lead. As predicted from the threat Vance made the tackles between him and Chase were dirty. A couple of the tackles were flagged on the opposition and a warning was given if they don't stop it with the foul tackles Vance will be out of the game. So, he should, Chase is playing his heart out during the game.
The players come charging back onto the field ready to kick off for the second half. I'm just hoping this half is cleaner than the first half. I'm also hoping that Vance gets his ass kicked out of the game. I've only met him once and my mom always said never to judge a book by its cover but with Vance, I don't really have much choice. I hate the guy; he doesn't know me and yet he's spoken to me and about me like I'm a piece of shit. Sorry no, not on my watch. He can go fuck himself and out of our lives for all I care. He's not worth the shit the bull craps during a rodeo.
