We both start laughing as my sister has me pinned down. Even when we were kids, I could never pin her she has always been too quick, and she can squirm her way out. "Well, you walked in on the first time at the dining room table."
Jen covers her mouth in shock, "Oh my god that would have been your first oh wow."
"Jen it's all good you didn't see anything that wasn't innocent," I push her off me and sit back up as she rolls over and sits next to me.
"So go on, you said three times that's only one" I sighed rubbing the back of my head.
"Well, the second time was after we played Mom and Dad's song, and the last time was when we were out back after you came in to talk to Greg."
"Wow, I can't believe I ruined the first, witnessed the second, which in all honesty I'm not surprised with the chemistry you guys had but whatever, and the third why do I always leave you alone when good shit is happening." She nudges me, and we both laugh again. Since Savannah came into our lives without realizing it, she has brought Jen and me back together again. "So do you wanna know what Greg said."
"Yeah, please tell me."
Me and Jen sits there on her bed talking for what feels like for hours. She was telling me what Greg told her as she was printing out emails and pictures, he sent her. Even though he was an ass to my sister; he is the best tech guy I know. Our dads do business together, his dad uses our finance firm, and we use his dad's software. We sat there reading all the emails sent and I swear I could feel my blood boil. I can't take much more so Jen puts them in a folder ready for me to give them to Candace tomorrow.
As I was going over the plan with Jen on what's going to happen before school Mom comes and stands in the doorway. "What are you two doing? And in the same room together getting along! You guys haven't done this since you were ten." Why does she have to state the obvious?
"I think we've now seen the light and want to get along as there's nothing more important than family," Jen admits to our mom.
"It's also thanks to Savannah too Mom, she made me see something tonight." Mom looks at me and smiles.
"I like that girl she's very sweet I think she's a good fit with you guys if she got you back together not just as brother and sister but as twins too." Jen and I thought the same thing must be that twin telepathy everyone has been talking about as we both said in unison.
"We think so too."
"Okay you two well don't be late it's still a school night after all goodnight," She walks off to her own room as we call out again in unison.
"Night Mom" Okay we need to stop doing this as it is weird, we've not spoke in unison since we were seven if not younger.
"I'm gonna head on off to bed Jen we'll go to school tomorrow in my car, don't feel like driving in alone tomorrow."
"Yeah, that's a promising idea." I stand up to head towards my room, "Hey Chase?" I turn and look at my sister.
"Yeah?"
"Even though we've grown apart over the years it's nice to have you back to how you were before Candace, and just remember I am not just your little sister I'm your twin and I will always be there by your side no matter what."
I smile back at her "Thanks, Jen, and remember all because we grew apart you are still and will always be my baby sister and I will be there by your side no matter what," I turn and walk to my room down the hall. I'm happy that I have my twin sister back. I'm happy we've turned a new leaf and are reconnecting as twins.
