Toni's famous meatloaf now that is something I'm looking forward to. I love her meatloaf. I know it's not for everyone but how Toni cooks it it's better than how Dad made it and that's saying something as my dad was the cook out of him and Mom. I could never make it like his, but I won't tell him that Toni's meatloaf is better than his.

Savannah: Can't wait see you later Dad.

The end of the school day couldn't come any quicker. All Jen and Selena were talking about all day were different dresses. From the material to the silhouette, to the color. I thought I was bad but damn they went into more detail about the dresses they're looking for than I did.

I'm waiting on the steps where we said we would meet at the end of the day for the girls to turn up. I didn't have to wait long before someone came along. But it wasn't Jen or Selena. It was Chase.

He approaches me slowly, never removing me from his view. He comes and sits down on the steps next to me as I waited. "Hey Savannah, sorry I've not spoken to you for a little while I've been busy with school, work, and football."

"Hi, Chase, it's okay I understand how busy you are with everything. I'm not mad at you for almost ignoring me I've been pretty busy myself. How are you? How is football going?"

"I've been good, football is going great, we have our first away game next week. Hope you could make it. My family is going so I'm sure they'd be happy enough to bring you along with them."

"Oh, Chase thank you I really wish I could. But I'm sorry I can't. I can't get the time off work, I've got the winter formal to get decorated and organized, I've got my schoolwork to focus on. I can't risk anything from slipping. But the game will be on TV, won't it?"

"Yeah, it'll be on TV. I understand why you can't make it. I will miss you being there though. I feel like I've been playing better since I've met you, almost like you're my game changer, I hope you can watch the game."

"I'll do my best to watch the game, I can't make any promises, thanks for saying I'm a game changer for you, hope that's a good thing." I giggle softly not knowing the meaning behind what he's saying. I hope it's a compliment, something to ask Dad later. "But I will do my best. Hey, Chase, can I ask you something?" I look at him quizzically.

"Yeah, sure what's up?"

"Jen told me you had a date to the Christmasqurade Ball is that true?" I couldn't believe her at first when she told me because I thought he would have at least asked me. Even though I would have told him no because I too have a date for the ball. He shakes the back of his head looking uncomfortable.

"Umm yeah, I do. That's not a problem with you, is it?" he looks at me concerned at my reaction. I'm happy for him if he has found someone, he deserves to be happy, so I do the only thing I can think of. Smile at him and be honest.

"No of course not Chase. If you're happy I'm happy for you. Besides, I have a date too for the ball." Chase looks a little dumbfounded and a little upset by my confession that I have a date.

"Well, umm thank you Savannah. I hope you're happy too with your date."

"Thank you Chase I believe I'm happy we're still getting to know each other. Anyway, do you know where your sister is? we're supposed to be heading to your mom's boutique." Just before he answers both Jen and Selena arrive arm in arm.

"Sav are you ready to go?"

"Yeah, I am," I stand up join the girls, wave bye to Chase, and head towards my car as I'm driving us there.

"Let's go dress shopping" Selena cheers and we head in the direction of Rodeo Drive.
