Trotting out to the first field I feel a small sense of freedom, I feel like I'm back in North Carolina. I feel like I'm home. It's with this feeling that I know where I belong. With Chase, it has to be. He's the only guy I have dated who has made me feel like this.
"Now that we're out in the open field, wanna show me how fast you can go?" Chase questions. I'm so glad he asked I have been desperate to feel the wind in my face, and soar through the grass.
"Are you sure?" I don't want to leave him sat on a horse he doesn't know how to ride for so long.
"Absolutely sweetheart. I've been excited to see you ride since I found out that you competed." With that statement, I give him a curt nod before I take off a run through the field. It almost feels like I'm soaring this horse can certainly fly. Feeling the reins between my fingers is one of the best feelings I have right now. I tighten them a little more and see exactly how fast Sonny can go.
I do one lap around the field before I slow Sonny down to a gentle trot. Trotting back up to Chase I see he has a big smile on his face, and I can't help but smile too.
"That was amazing sweetheart, you were flying it was amazing to see, no wonder you used to barrel race you probably won every event." He's not far off I didn't win every race, but I did always place.
"I did okay but I wasn't always that good. But hey want me to show you how to soar 'cause I think Starship wants a good run?" Chase is all excited with my offer, so I go through some basic riding techniques and remind him to grip tight on the reins, lean back into the saddle, and have fun.
We gallop through the first field and stretch out into the second field. I am having the time of my life on this date my cheeks are starting to hurt I have been smiling that much. We are out on the fields for that long I turn behind us to see the mountains and see that the sun is starting to set. So, I suggest we head on back and grab a bite to eat on our way back into the city.
Trotting back to the stables a handler helps us by taking the reins and walking us back to where we need to dismount. We walk back to the car hand in hand talking about everything that has happened today. What we both enjoyed and what we both thought was the best part of the day.
On the drive back into the city Chase asked what I wanted to eat and with everything we've eaten at the pier and on the way out here at that diner I don't know what I'm in the mood for right now. Chase suggests we get a table at a nice quiet Mexican restaurant to wind down all the excitement we have endured today. I couldn't agree more with him, Mexican sounds good and today has been exciting, and it's not over yet.
Chase parks the car and we get out of the car, walk up to the restaurant, and I have a quick glance at the board at what they offer to eat. They have a pulled pork, black bean enchilada that sounds appealing I might give that a try. We head on inside and the Matre de leads us to a table, Chase being a true gentleman pulls out my chair for me. I sit down and Chase helps push my chair into the table before taking his seat facing across from me at the table.
As soon as we were comfortable at our table, we were handed the menu and ordered our drinks. Chase ordered a Coke while I ordered a lime and soda. I scan over the menu still thinking about that enchilada when suddenly there's a commotion. Both Chase and I look in the direction of where the commotion is coming from to see Candace there yet again. But this time she's not pestering us; it looks like she's standing at Vance's table, and he has his arms draped over two other girls.
