I start to walk away from him and go back to my car I can't be here anymore, but Chase starts to follow me.

"Savannah please wait!" I turn around and look at him so he can see what he has done to me.

"No Chase just stop I never want to speak to you again. The only time when I speak to you is if I'm being polite or if it's for our dads otherwise, I don't want to hear it." I run all the way to my car I jump in, wipe the tears off my cheeks, pull out of the parking lot, and drive off home with not a care in the world.

Pulling into my driveway I come to a screeching halt, throwing myself out of my car not locking it behind me, I charge straight upstairs and into my room slamming the door behind me and collapse on my bed and sob into my pillow. I stayed in my room for what felt like hours to only get disturbed by a gentle knock on my door I sit up and dry my tears from my face "Yeah."

My bedroom door slowly creaks open and Dad's head pops in "Sweetpea is everything okay? Did something happen at school?" Crossing my legs on my bed holding my pillow to my chest I look at my dad.

"I'm fine Dad it's nothing I can't handle," I smile at him wanting to change the topic.

"Okay baby girl," he pats my knee in comfort "I also came up to tell you that Jennifer is here to see you should I send her up?"

I nod at Dad "Yeah she can come on up."

Dad leaves my room and not long later Jen comes in with her school stuff and walks over to the edge of my bed.

"Hey Sav, I thought I'd come by so we could work on our project here. I also want to say I'm sorry about what happened between you and my brother I saw everything when we were on the beach. I don't know what was said between you guys and it's not my place to know I just want to make sure you're all right." I put my pillow back to where it should be on my bed, and I sigh.

"Yeah, everything is fine it's just obviously a shitty day for everyone and Jen I would just like to apologize to you for a couple of things. I firstly want to apologize for making you feel stuck between me, and your brother and I don't want you to feel obligated to choose between us as I know he will be the one you choose because he is your twin. And secondly, I want to apologize for slapping your brother I was just so hurt by his actions I didn't realize what I was doing until it was too late."

Jen raises a hand up to stop me from talking "I'm gonna stop you talking right there, I will never choose between you guys yeah, he's my twin brother and you have only been in my life for two days, but I love you just like a sister already. And Sav that slap! girl he deserved it Dad told him this morning to look out for you and he didn't."

Wait what? Mr. Lockwood said what about me?

"I don't understand why your dad would ask him to do that?"

"Oh, it's something to do with you and your dad being happy here and wanting to stay I don't get involved in my dad's business as it's been made clear from the very start that Chase is taking over when Dad retires." Ouch that must hurt I would have thought with them being twins they would run it fifty-fifty I can see Jen is getting a little upset about all this talk, so we better move on to a more cheerful subject.

"Shall we get on with our project then?" I ask Jen she looks at me smiling and nodding.

In such a brief period, we got so much of our project done and our report written up. I started writing up my report for my Marine Biology class on my laptop and Jen is reading something for one of her class electives. We get lost with the time as we are so into our homework, we don't hear my dad come on in and we look up at him as he starts to speak.

"Hi, girls just letting you know Jennifer dear your dad is here to pick you up they want you home for dinner tonight."

Jen starts to bag up all her schoolwork into her bag, "Oh, thank you Mr. Blakemore we just got so stuck into what we were doing we didn't notice the time."

"It's fine girls as long as everything is okay, and your schoolwork is not suffering it's fine." Trust my dad to go all sweet on us because we were doing what we should be doing.

"I'll call you later Sav," She throws her bag strap over her shoulder as she starts to leave my room.

"Yeah, okay talk to you soon," and Jen is out the door with my dad following behind her.

All my homework has been finished for the day there's not much more I can do right now. I'm just grateful that it is Saturday tomorrow so, if necessary, I can do a little bit more or finish unpacking my room. Or maybe I can get everything done this weekend. Lord knows I need a serious distraction right now. I stayed in my room, and I unpacked a couple of my boxes it was mostly books and music sheets. I put my books on my newly built bookcase and put my sheet music on my music stand as I like to keep them all together.

I didn't leave my room until it was time for dinner. Heading down into the kitchen I could smell something amazing. I see Dad sitting at the table reading some work reports, he puts them down when he sees me come into the kitchen.

"Hey sweetpea everything okay you've been in your room the entire time you've been home," I take a seat facing Dad.

"Yeah, sorry about that something happened, and my emotions got the better of me and when Jen was here, we've just got stuck into our homework and working on our project. And then after she left, I did some unpacking as I've still got boxes in my room to go through."

While giving my dad the play-by-play of mine and Jen's project since he asked how that was going an older woman with light grey hair came and placed a plate in front of me. The food I can smell that's fantastic and is sitting right in front of me is a seasoned chicken and pepper quesadilla. I look up at the woman smiling and say thanks.
